Not a bad suggestion I like.........................But here's the SOE fix...........Keep the insane spawn locations...Keep the klikrz...make the adds a joke...So everyone can get there Mythicalz

You do realize though that this makes this basically an EoF style encounter (mob + adds every x seconds). The raid wipe AE would then just be speeding up the inevitable (too many adds = wipe anyway)
I agree that clickies that are so far away that clicky people can't participate in the actual encounter are not a good idea, however going back to the lack of diversity in encounters (people where complaining about this throughout EoF) is not the best solution either.
Also, careful with increasing the adds' HP - wouldn't want to solve this catch 22 problem by creating a different one.
1M HP on adds that spawn every 30s would mean you need roughly 35k dps on them alone to deal with them. As hard as Druushk and adds hit now, you need all healers actually healing. Let's say we aim to beat the encounter in 12min, so you need another 10k dps on Druushk all the time. So that is 45k coming from 15 people (assuming 6 healers in the raid with near 0 dps, and MT group not doing anything either - yes, very rough calculation I know...), that is 3k per person - without mythicals? Doable, but still a pain and certainly not appropriate for a first wing encounter, and a bigger requirement than needed for some avatars.

Well if my idea is too "EoF-esque" and bothers people, whatever. I don't really care what they implement in place of statue clicking as long as they get rid of that mechanic. It was bad enough on Venril with 1 person on statue duty, Nexona pushed the limit with 2 people stuck on shiny duty, and Druushk is flat out retarded.
VIRTUALLY NONE OF YOUR PLAYERS THINK THAT PERMANENTLY REMOVING MULTIPLE PEOPLE FROM THE FIGHT TO REPEATEDLY AND MINDLESSLY CLICK ON SOMETHING IS FUN OR ENGAGING. DO NOT EVER, EVER IMPLEMENT THIS AGAIN.
The closest they ever came to making this mechanic interesting was DMP, and that had a few things going for it:
1) it required a specific (and changing) order, adding a purpose and meaning to the actual mechanic of clicking something repeatedly during the fight. It required some coordination and skill.
2) the instrument players were not tied to the instruments for 100% of the fight, only at key points.
3) the instrument players were not in anywhere NEAR the danger of being slain as they are with the current pathing, aggro, and AE issues on Druushk.
4) having an instrument player die died not mean the raid wiped.
Venril and Druushk will both be a raid-wipe if your clickers die. There is no interesting or engaging skillset requires for the clickers (its simply repeated clicking of the statue over and over and over again with no explanation or meaning other than "if i don't do this my raid is going to die"). There is no opportunity for the clickers to engage in anything other than clicking. This mechanic is absolutely horrible and in no way fun or engaging for your raiding playerbase. We play this game for fun. We PAY you to play this game for fun. What... the... FUCK?

Why has it taken this long for people to finally get pissed about the clicking bullshit during an encounter?

SOE, remove the statues or just make it where you need to deactivate them once, or maybe every 2-3 minutes. Other than that the encounter is a good one.

No one should have stood for this shit months ago and because people didn't make enough noise, we have to live with the disaster that is the statues on Druushk 2.1.

I dont think you need to get rid of the statues. My idea would be to...
1. Reduce the range on the big fear AE and make it large enough to impact the people near druusk and small enough not to hit people near the statues.
2. Instead of making the statues a clicky thing, turn them into uber ass solo mobs that someone would have to solo within a certain amount of time. Once the solo mob dies, you avoid the nasty ae and an x 2 add pops up somewhere random in the room, hating the person who is on top of druusk's aggro list.

Not crediting or discrediting your ideas for adjusting this encounter; its pretty fucking sad that the eq2 player community has to come up with ideas to get shit fixed.
some of the suggestions i've seen are pretty fucking good for a lot of problems this game has at the moment. Its a cryin shame we still see jack shit fixed or communicated.
Hey, at least now the Mark of Awakened Necklace rune won't be in your face if your in first person... what a fucking joke.
