Nah, that was an issue, but I wouldn't compare that to any of the Coercer bugs. I'd compare Spellshield reflecting everything including AEs back in T6 to the Coercer bugs.

I kept telling them that, but they never believed me. Fucking morons. And it didn't 1-shot mobs, it just did like 3-4 million damage.

Seems to me like they designed the Druushk encounter so other enchanter spells wouldn't work on the adds, such as charm and mez - so it seems reasonable to me they intended for for memblur to work, because otherwise they could have made the adds immune to it.

So you believe it's okay for a Coercer to memblur an add, die, and have the add depop is a-okay?

Yes. I also seem to remember Xelus saying he died several hundred times to Godking Anuk in T6. I remember him dying using memblur on Vyemm in T7.
