Venril Sathir bug?

Ok so last night my guild goes into Venril Sathirs Lair for the first time and we manage to kill him, only he doesn't drop a chest. We petition it expecting it to be stuck in the wall or somewhere we can't see it, only customer service come back and tell us we haven't killed the mob - this is despite getting the success timer set and recieving status for the kill. Also as it was our first kill we can now zone into the Chamber of Destiny (having killed Overking previously). Anyway I don't want to turn this into a customer service rant.

The only reason I can think why this might have bugged out like it did and SOE can't verify our kill is because as we got the kill shot the raid leader was charmed due to mana sacrifice hitting him very close to getting the kill. We managed to get the Venril kill and then killed the add - however by the time we'd killed the add Venril's body had despawned. I know that we should have been paying more attention and not got the charm and shouldn't suck etc, but has anyone experienced something similiar? Is this a known issue with this mob?

As its looking like we're not going to get any loot or epic quest updates from this mob as it stands I hope we've possibly identified the situation that might have caused it so it can be fixed.

Never heard of something like that.
I guess the only choice you have is try again with CS. Provide screenshots of your lockout timer, or rather point to them, maybe that will make them investigate the matter more thoroughly.

this happend to us on our 5th or 6th kill - if the x2 adds pop and u kill VS you don't even get a loot drop and SoE's logs can't prove u killed it without ALOT of digging. We eventually got the loot (like 3 weeks later) but its dumb. Basically even if your at 2% on him and some dumb shit spawns a x2 add for you just fucking wipe it.

That's not my experience, we quite often had an x2 up at <10%, killed it, and got loot.

Too bad they removed all the cool methods to see through walls so you could tell if your chest was stuck under there

We've seen the add pop at the end and we did kill VS before the add since he was almost dead but still got loot.

Yeah we killed him on Thurs 2/21. Same exact story as you. Got the add/charm just after verdict went in. Got guild status and T3 flags, but no loot or epic updates.
