Root, but the charm is a random 3 people every so often.

It's still not as bad as the one from Hate that has a chance to charm you every 6 or so seconds. I went several pulls on hate charmed for 15 seconds + because I kept getting chain charmed. Hate also doesn't have a max number of targets that can be charmed it seems, as we had 6+ charmed at once....

I've been leveling up a new illusionist and i couldn't believe how many old contesteds were up... not that i thought they were being killed, i just had forgotten just how many there were.

If cut and paste is the way to go, why not cut and paste all these old T5 and T6 contested mobs and give a ton of shit to do. This can open up itemization and give more of the population things to kill.

(edit: speaking of itemization... shared global avatar loot table? gimme a fucking break... not that my guild is killing any avatars, but the sheer idea of that is fucking retarded... they may as well make all instanced stuff drop mastercrafted gear.)

Plus this gives actual usage to some of these older zones (like avatars did/do) gives the plat pharmin douchebags less places to go that have a basic zero population.

I really like the idea of new encounter types and different structures of mobs... but i fail to see how someone who clearly doesn't understand the gameplay can be justified in making content this retarded.

i sort of agree with ballads in that the guy above the people we direct our hate at ie aeralik/roger for the most part, is the guy who should be replaced. Roger has designed soem amazing encounters, as well as soem that make me want to cut his wrists and bleed him out, but i think the biggest thing is that whoever is uptop doesnt play the game. Haveing someone who played the game going oh man, valor is really easy, but war is almost impossible, but you can get the exact same lewt from both, there is a problem there, fix it before it goes live would be nice. Instead end game content gets made and put in and we test it for them, wish i could go to work, get paid and have other people do all the work for me QA nice to meet you :D

i mean druushk is pretty dumb, roger is a fucking physco, and copy paste is his best friend, But when a structure collapses, its not the carpentor they coem after, its the foreman and/or engineer. IMO the guy who designs these encounters has to be creative as due to diminsihing returns ruining the game, and countless other broken mechanics, and piss poor gear available, its not possible to make a encounters difficulty based on your raids gear as a whole, it helps a bit, but as it stands the only way to make shit hard is to make it do dumb shit.

Through T6 PUR's were still killing the T5 contesteds, and through T7 they were still killing both the T5 and T6 contesteds. Now in T8 it's like the thrill is gone, or maybe the loot is too dull even to twink with.

Cheldrak was a damn fine encounter. And EQ1 had some really good ones. All the gods and potime. That was designed well without any of the bullshit. It was all about execution and working together not luck and clicking shit.

If anyone needs to step down its Lyndro and anyone above him for letting the expansion suck as whole. With all the problems of this expansion you don't go looking for the 1 designer, you go after the person was supposed to be in charge of all the designers. The one who was supposed to balance risk vrs reward, give the other designers direction, and maintain the overall constancy. There are tons of threads here about everything that is wrong with the expansion from raid encounters, to loot, to the level grind being about quest, to the epics delayed for so long, to a boatload of broken mechanics. In my opinion the blame rest with Lyndro. Lyndro may have been a great designer, but i think he is an utter failure in management.

Dont replace rodger, replace the person who shoulda said"rodger your using this mechanic to much," the person who shoulda said "fyreflyte why is some of the heroic gear better then the raid gear'" The person who shoulda said "is questing the only way to lvl," and the person who shoulda said "Feconix dont you think VP is little to easy?"
Exactly. And to the people complaining about Roger, take a look at Feconix's encounters -- no contest.

Oh we pretty much thought Feconix's encounters were shit the moment we stepped into VP. No contest they're horrid and just didn't seem like somebody was thinking OH THIS'LL BOY FUN and DIFFICULT, when in reality it's just a total joke.
