I loved the Rathe encounter! I even had the joy one day of two-boxing my pally and chanter, chanter mezzing one, pally tanking another. Great fun! I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Other than DMP, and the matron prenerfs, this game has had very few hard, but killable encounters. They're just really not good at balancing between difficult and impossible, and even if they get close it's too weighted on chance

Oh, gee... like stacking reactive stun/stifle/fear/etc procs on casting and/or receiving hostile or beneficial spells? Or random, incurable stuns and charms incapacitating a quarter of the raid at a time? Or raid-wiping penalty AEs triggered by not moving in an encounter with random roots/stuns/fears? This kind of bullshit is built in to almost all the new encounters.

Let's get real. The main problem is that we're having mobs with "miscellaneous bullshit...providing artificial difficulty" foisted off on us (after all, if you can't predict or control either, what's the real difference between lag and incurable stuns?) with the compounding issue of how the loot doesn't justify the level of difficulty (or impossibility) because it either a) sucks or b) can be gotten for much less trouble off less difficult mobs.

Please at least consider the non-hardcore Raidforces who are struckling to get their Epics !!!

I think everyone deserves a fair chance to get their Epic which is clearly not the case right now !!!

Everyone will have a "fair chance," provided Druushk is again made beatable by raids that can kill Nexona sans-mythicals, as he was before the change to his adds and his fearing of the statue clickers. (Nexona makes a reasonable benchmark and Druushk is broken right now, imo.) But getting a mythical should require that you're able to beat very hard encounters and implying otherwise will get you laughed off these boards.

Mythicals are not meant to be handed out to everyone and his fucking dog. It's fair that, if you can avoid sucking enough to kill these mobs within 9 days, you get rewarded, whether you're hardcore or just hard-working and skilled casuals. What everyone else is asking for is encounters where we can see skill as opposed to luck making a difference, and for mobs to be made possible but not easy.

This is exactly what i'am asking for !!!

As soon as luck get involved casual Raidforces tend to get thrown off the case. Unfortunately some people get frustrated to fast if they do not see progress with the encounter. Everyone must feel and see that their skill matters so that they can do their best to beat the mob.

I rather want challenges then presents but that implies that the mob is hard and not unbeatable.

Ok, so you don't like a mechanic? How about suggesting a way to change it but still keep the encounter difficult. Everyone feels free to complain about balance on the forums (whether it's PVE, PVP, itemization, whatever), but maybe 10% of the whiners offer a viable, well thought out solution. How many times do you hear something like: "Mechanic X is really annoying, does not work well for reasons Y and Z, is a detriment to making the encounter fun, and is basically an artificial way to make the fight difficult... so I propose that mechanics A, B, and C be changed/implemented in this fight instead, for the following reasons...." on here?

So you don't like reactive control effects. You don't like incurable control effects. You dont like movement based effects. Well, great, most of us don't like them either. Instead of being just another dude that basically says "THIS ENCOUNTER SUCKS AND IS NOT FUN... FIX IT!" give your ideas on what needs to be done. You don't need to write the fucking pseudocode for it, just outline what you want the encounter to be like different from its current form.

Do you just want the normal AE's to hit harder? The mob to melee harder? More HP's on mobs? How do you propose they make the fight more difficult without these

Ex-guilds are in gray. I no longer play this game. This is the first time I have checked the forums in ~2 weeks, my brother linked me this thread.

And yes, there were 100x more threads for a reason; population. Doesn't change the fact that the entire expansion of PoP had a stellar progression (encounter wise, and lore wise), with actual difficulty.
