Re: Roger: It's time for you to step down.
If all the old contested were of average difficulty and bumped up there wouldn't be that problem :\

didn't you see the lu 43 notes they are adding more contested for the casuals, that the hardcore guilds will lockdown, since they more than likely will drop better loot than currently drops in VP.

The Domini have shown themselves in order to lead the Sathirian nation into a new age of glory! They are contested raid targets in overland RoK zones intended for casual raid guilds in difficulty.

I think all the fun in contested is not knowing whos going to kill it. Right now the answer is either 1 guild, or noone at all. That just doesn't cut it.
I mean, I'm in a guild that can kill these mobs, but I feel for those people that aren't.
Plus, the more people that can kill a mob, the more time can be justified being invested into them.
When did contested turn from average difficulty (tier5/6/7) to impossible?
I guess Avatars have to have an innate higher "epicness", but I think the simple concept of fun weighs in greater than lore in this case.

The question is who is to blame for them being this way? The designer of the mobs or the lead designer of the game? If it was just these mobs ruining the game I'd blame that designer, but i think its the world the mobs are placed in that dictates their difficulty. A environment where stats mean dick, where there is no gear progression, where there is no penalty for failure/death. I like some aspects of this game a lot, but for a while now i feel like we have been going 90 down the highway with no one at the wheel. Where is the oversight? Who is in charge? I like having sadistic fucks like Rodger designing encounters, but even more he needs a boss to tell him to fuck off when he overdoes it or reuses a mechanic to much. Just like we need someone over Aeralik's, Fyreflyght's, Arconix's, Kandor's,and Feconix's shoulder telling them when they are heading down the right path and when they are fucking sucking. Its up to the lead designer to this and its not being done.

TBH I don't think he knew there was one because in his original post he never talked about it.

The charm for tranquility is NOT the debuff that gets put on you when you engage, but it is for Hate. If I recall correctly Tranquility's debuff he puts on you when you engage is a chance to stun or stifle you, don't recall which.
