Frustrated a bit...We have the basic strat down but our execution is lacking, healers are complaining about AE stuns and our mage dps grp is dropping like flies healing the OK.

Is the AE stun something you just have to deal with and fight thru or can healers be placed somewhere to mitigate this annoying crap?

Learn how to max range, then you won't take the stun on your ranged classes.

I hear you..we have this vision of everyone including the mages/scouts etc sitting in the middle between the first set of pillars with the OT to bottle neck the adds and prevent them from getting to healers/MT on the OK.

That isnt working, even moving the healers somewhat out of range in the small space between pillar set 1 and 2, dps is spending an extraordinary amount of time stunned, taking dirt naps and healing OK and otherwise sitting with their thumbs in their sphincter. Looks like the Mentalist adds are the ones AE stunning.

Is the answer having everyone ie-mage, scout dps and healers at max range against one or the other side wall, having the OT in the first pillar set and kills the wave adds purely by range?

Free feel to ignore as I know Im asking for handouts here..

Sounds like you know the problem, just figure out what you're doing wrong and why your healers are getting stunned.

We move OK when his initial adds are dead and there is a gap in his AOE.
Healers move as well, OK is tanked at the second set of pillars, Adds in the bottleneck at the first set.
Our healers stand at max rang from MT and Max range from the DPS off towards a wall midway between the 2 sets of pillars and shout in /raid or vent if any adds of a certain type come near them

What are you getting stuck on? "Help please!" is pretty vague :P

1. Bring AOE DPS.
2. Don't suck.
3. After initial adds pull OK to the second set of pillars.
4. Kill the Adds as they pop.
5. Use the item when he weilds his sword to stop the AOE.
6. Set a Ranger on the fire blobs.
7. Get healers out of the DPS and them shouting if they get adds near them.
8. Repeat 4/6/7 Until Overking dead.

We are also working on the overking and running into a problem. We are not sure where the aoe arcane stun is coming from? Is it the OK, an add (if so we are not sure which), or is it both? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

The adds. I think the mentalists. At any rate, what is the problem with the arcane stun? I mean, if its hitting your MT group or healers, they are too close to where you are killing adds. If its the dps group, the mentalists should die first, but generally, those adds just need to die fast. We aren't an uber type guild and don't parse very high, but typically those adds are down within 3 to 5 seconds from the time they spawn. Obviously there are going to be accidents at times, and you will have to fight them up to the next set of spawns, but generally, after you catch up, those adds shouldn't be alive for more than say 10 seconds...

yep, the add mentalists are the stunners. Those need to die first. I think probably the best way to handle this is get the dps to individually target any mentalist they see and destroy it rather than relying on a MA due to the fact the MA&OT could both get stunned.
