Aviak! all the way...i always prefer the bald eagle lookin ones, but the parrot ones aren't bad either.

nightblood would be pretty bad ass too.

lamia? for chick toons would be pretty naughty too

(when i was installing the disks like 2 years ago, i saw the aviaks in one of the loading screens, and always wanted to be one!!)

Upon thinking more about this, I would say a SOE dev with a fucking clue, as they are a mythical spawn and would make a great player character.

I want to play as a Nightblood. Best (common) NPC ever.
I'd also like to play as a baby version of Cheldrak, Tarinax, or any other dragon.
I think the Djinn and Lamia would be pretty cool too.

Whoever designed those gay ass fairies should have their faces punched off.

Top 3:

1- Giant- How bad ass would it be to be a giant... oh wait it would suck, my kerra with the 30% increase in size cant fit in some zones, imagine a frikkin giant. Maybe include a giant racial to become small to fit in certain zones.

2- Djinn- Could be a cool race and starting city would obviously be Maj'Dul. Ideas for racials could be endless with wish granting etc.

3- Centaur- Hey at least you wouldn't need to buy a mount!

While we are on the subject how about racial AAs? Instead of every race basically picking all the same racials make some AA's unique to every race and have different stats and unique ideas for them all.
