Update Notes: Wednesday, April 9th 2008

GAMEPLAY
  • Venril Sathir will no longer cast Fatalisis immediately after Toxic Infusion, and the Mysmerian Soulcube should work much more reliably.
Uhmm.. no.. both went off immediatly on pull 4-5 times total and/or second cast. This is broken... there is NO time to cure yourself between Toxic Infusion and Fatalisis.

It was better before when it was just a chance they would overlap...

Can anyone else confirm or did we just get a totally bugged instance?

The AOE that killed you was probably Qzxytl's Aura and it is a completely different AOE than the Toxic Infusion/Fatalisis mixture. It is a "punishment" AOE for not doing something right.... and, yes, I know it is not the one you get if you dont use the box on him.

We have killed this guy a lot, and never seen a single bug with his script. There are plenty of parts to his script that many people dont know about.
I watch the timers and call the aoes, so I always hit my grp cure immediately, when toxic infusion goes off. I've been interrupted in the middle of my grp cure several times. (and no, the stunning trauma does not hit me) It interrupts me because fatalisis goes off, so yes it does hit early after toxic infusion. I'm glad to see that soe fixed this in a hot fix.

We also had the same problems with VS last night like what others are saying. So much for this "hotfix". At least we had a chance with the previous bugged version of VS.

Last night's new version was just nuts. You pretty much had to hope that you didn't have a fear on you as the nox was going off and you had your mouse over your nox cure icon on the toolbar. We went from everyone alive to everyone dead within 2 seconds of the nox going off.

Hopefully, the hotfix of the hotfix straightens out VS...oh yeah, and they can also fix the bugged Overking flame adds while they're at it.

I was implying after the "hotfix" this mob is impossible. Fatalisis goes off immediatly after Toxic Infusion now almost every time lol.

So SOE tries to implement a situation where fatalisis can NEVER go off right after toxic infusion. But instead they make it so fatalisis goes off every time right after toxic infusion? nice.

A 1 minute test could have avoided this...

Yes, another classic example of code changes and fixes going to Live without any testing whatsoever. And I dare the person responsible for this fix to say it worked fine in his test because that would be admitting to being a complete idiot.
