A few replies:

I wouldn't consider multiple accounts to add any more than that...like I said, I'd assume that at least 10% of the total subscriptions are alts, but whether you play 1 raiding alt or 5, you're still one person imo.

Avatar killing or "capable" could be a bit harder to track if it's very difficult to do (as in pvp) or 1 guild has a significant lockdown so no one else is able to do it yet...and you're right, they were just released so later on there will be more guilds killing them.

ARE there that many guilds who exclusively raid lower tier content with no intention of killing in rok? (does it count when you can 1-2 group a zone as a raid, or would you only count mentoring/lvl locking?) With this expansion and quest/legendary equipment being perfectly fine for t1, any guild who's been trying to raid rok should have killed something by now (or they're just really new, which is just something I can't see from progression threads). In any event, I don't have any basis for counting those guilds who don't get added to the progression threads.

From experience on my server, I only know of 1 raiding guild who's not on the progression thread and they may have disbanded. I also know a couple of the guilds on the thread no longer exist and have started or joined new guilds who are on there.

Just keep in mind these are numbers supplied on eq2flames prgression threads and should be treated as such. If someone wanted to spend a month of research they could go to eq2players and count all of the mains for each guild on each thread and talk to enough people on each server to make sure they knew of every guild that ever has raided and count their members as well.

Right. From a low of 3% to a high of 5-6% of people regularly raid rok...and there might be another 1-2% who are extremely casual pick up raiders or last teir raiders.

Everyone knows raiders are a minority and hardcore raiders even more so...but there's a myth that people keep talking about raiders being "1%" of the population...and that's obviously way way low. This is just to try and put a little bit of perspective from some easily obtainable data.

The myth was that raiders that killed Contested was 1% of 1% is proven to be myth you clearly are atlist 17.5-30% of 1% lol

I'd say by %, that there is a much much larger raid population than what some people may think. Sure, not everyone raids avatars, or are even in VP, but many do raid. Even if it's having fun in previous tier, a pick up raid to anywhere, or a casual guild doing something 1-3x a week.

Almost everyone level 80 raids on Perma in some way shape or form. Whether they are "hardcore" and doing RoK or casual and still doing Deathtoll, almost everyone raids.

Some day, that "hardcore" content in game now will be extremely casual. So, that being said, I wouldn't think any of it is a waste. When DT is still getting raided 2 years later and Barren Sky, Palace of the Awakened and other KoS xp zones are dead quiet, I'd say its a good investment to build raid content.

Yea, your even forgetting people who are still leveling up and raid, for instance I know on befallen people do dof raid content, who are at that level. You can't just narrow it down and say people who only raid rok are raiders.

Imo if you raid at least 1 time a week, you are a raider, whether you admit it or not, you do in fact raid therefore you should be counted as a raider.

Ah then we should have free reign to apply the same to crafting and soloing and compare the numbers.
