Technically, there's more average Bards (4) in a raid then Fighters (3) so if an item drops tailored towards Bards it's available to more people in the raid than if an item drops that's tailored towards fighters.

I don't disagree that the items are limited but from a design perspective it might make more sense to look at it that way. Plus, these are the first 2 Bard centric items in the last 2 tiers.

I personally think the weapon is a good design. Useable by all and decent for all, but extra benefits for certain classes. It is pretty much exactly what everyone has been asking for, and bards do deserve some lovin.

Edit: Nm, Im an idiot. It adds a 5% decrease in reuse timers to the buff, doesnt reduce the reuse of casting that buff.

It adds 5% re-use to the buff, as in it gives the entire group 5% re-use haste.

It's nice that bards are getting the love even if it to their group buffs moreso.

The damage shields on the first few mobs need to be tweaked a bit to actually proc more often, the trash is retarded but not mind numbing so I guess it's a trade-off? and IMO leave the class directed gear on the first couple encounters that are easier to plow thru with the better gear that benefits everyone on the last few, that way there's not much pain when you start transmuting everything from those earlier mobs after all your people have the gear.

Maybe it was just seeing 2 items that only bards would use in raids gave me flashbacks of the druid loot in gates and bard wrists from courts that got perpetually vendored.

Bards are one of the most important classes on raids so it's understandable they need their own items, but 2 different ones on 2 different mobs seems overboard for that kind of specificity

Note on the helm...

The ward regenerates 300/tick every 2-3 seconds or so.
