Re: Underwater Raid Zone
Been there, done that in eq1, it wasnt fun. Fighting underwater just isnt fun. It doesnt add a new challenge at all, its just annoying to move around.

Re: Underwater Raid Zone
I dunno, just get underwater sight totems and a shammy in each group. just run around like normal, but i agree it would be pretty cool, like some ruins underwater left after the shattering or something, id like to see soemthing along thsoe lines.

Re: Underwater Raid Zone
I'd have to agree with Ishbu on this. It's just annoying fighting underwater, and it doesn't add any sort of difficulty, just annoyance. Kedge keep and Plane of Water ftl.

Re: Underwater Raid Zone
havent you noticed? ishbu is always wrong, hence a zone like this would be incredible
it would be like fighting the octogorgon but with a real epic feel. the best part would be finding the chest at the bottom at the end! and there could be caverns full of loot to plunder, and even little jets to toss people around.
mobs could use abilities to make people lose water breathing so that could add a whole new DIMENSION to raiding. anyways just provin that all those naysayin hatas dont have a fucking clue hwats good or bad for this game.

Re: Underwater Raid Zone
To me it sounds like a cool idea, if only you could add suspense. But this isn't a game that uses theatrics, so it would be the same ol' pull-n-burn.

Re: Underwater Raid Zone
Please no. If the water looked like it did in WoW then maybe it would be cool. But ya can't see shit in this water, much less move.

Re: Underwater Raid Zone
Water zones historically fail.
Kedge Keep - who played much in there besides once Kunark came out and people needed a few random parts of their epic quests?
Sirent Grotto (the underwater parts) - Nobody ever in there. Sometimes there would be some people doing the land stuff, but never underwater.
Plane of Water - Any raid targets up? Nope, ok lets head to Plane of Earth or Fire because this zone blows, its all underwater.
Its just not as fun in play as it sounds.
