Imzok's Revenge
Hey, got our asses handed to us by this guy. (yeah, I know we're not very quick at progression. But for us even getting to Imzok is an accomplishment.)
Through massive forum searching, I've got a few questions to ask, because he punched us in the jumblies so hard.
His timer (Sebilissian Torrent) is it swipable?
Trauma clicky potions are the way to get this done? Also, the trauma dot comes off Sebilissian Torrent yeah? Can you move out of range completely? Or is it gonna hit everyone (just for less damage the further out you get?)
Finally the posts. Ideally next attempt we'll have 2 people with staffs of Sounding. Do we put them in the room the whole fight waiting? Why do I keep reading about positioning being so "wonky?" And when 30% hits and Imzok goes immune. Is it a reflect on the main tank? Or just a stoneskin?
Thanks,
Breeniac/Joshuaa

From what I have been able to tell, it is swipeable, and you will take less damage if you are further ranged. I don't know if it's avoidable, someone else might though.
If your healers are on the ball and/or you have excess heals to go around, it *CAN* be cured by the groups healer (via group cure or single target cures). Since the encounter is new to you, don't dick around with it and make everyone except healers carry cure trauma potions. Call the AOE, wait for it to hit, everyone cures themselves, your priests throw their group heals and everyone continues on. Once you get better at the encounter, you can try without them.
"Do we put them in the room the whole fight waiting? "
This sounds like you're pulling him out of his room, which is something my guild doesn't do. I'd imagine sending your staffholders in around 38% or so is a pretty good idea. Stop DPS when the stoneskin goes up, since you don't want to reflect to yourself or your group or your tank, and try to have debuffs in before then - last time I tried to cast a debuff while the pillars were active I wound up debuffing my entire group.

Re: Imzok's Revenge
just get the AE on a timer joust it...stay far back before it goes off (less damage) everyone in raid needs to use trauma pot's as soon as they get it....pretty much easy just make sure u stop DPS at 35%????? is it??? and shatter the pillars then come back and kill him

Re: Imzok's Revenge
Pull him out of his room, put the tanks back against a pillar. Have the priests and mages stand back to just where the hallway turns back into the area where Ludmilla chills.
Have melee's joust in and out as the AE hits if they can't handle it and / or your priests feel / know they are to far away to get cured. Like Kyriden said, if your having trouble with your priests curing the trauma on the group I'de suggest everyone carrying trauma pots.
It IS avoidable, but you have to get rediculously far away to avoid it. It is swipeable as well.
My guild pulls him out of his room as well.
I forget if its 40% or 35% when he pops open his reflect. But depending on how high your raids dps is, stop all your dots a couple percent before and use DD's. When it gets to the last 1-2% before the reflect, have your staffers run in and spam click it by the pillars. Burn down the last % or so, wait for the pillars to break, then burn and continue the jousting during Ae's.
Its quite an easy fight once you get it down, and eventually you'll get it down enough where jousting is just a waste of dps, and you can alter the strategy some.
You've got one dead golem! =)

Re: Imzok's Revenge
My guild just fights him in his room. Joust to minimize AE damage, use trauma potions, and you'll be fine. If your people can't survive the hit from a far distance, they shouldn't be fighting this mob then.
At most, if you have enough DPS, you shouldn't need more than 5 trauma potions to kill him, per person.

Re: Imzok's Revenge
You can use 2 people deactivating the pillars just fine - we always do.
As previous posters - yes the Aoe is swipeable, but ACT doesn't pick up the swipe since he has an apostrope in his name, so you have to take into account yourself whether it was swiped when calling your aoes.
Have the dps joust the aoe. Yes trauma pots work, but if they're jousting effectively, they won't even need those.
Reflect starts at 35% - we pull him out his room too, and have our staffers go in at around 38. No point them sitting in his room waiting until then - why have them miss the fight when they could be laying some smack down?

Re: Imzok's Revenge
Never used potions, never pulled out of his room. With the mob in the back of the room (behind where he spawns), you can joust to the bottom of the steps and won't get hit by the aoe. But even if you do, it's not hard to click cures, get people to control the kb and whip your healers a bit.

Re: Imzok's Revenge
Small hint,
a huge ammount of Damage during the reflection phase comes from your own tank.
He riposte attacks from Imzog, which are reflected back on him by Imzok.
Let him Buy a level 1 weapon and switch to it during reflect.
Worked wonders for us.
