Using your numbers. You start casting at 0.0.

If the curse hits you between 0 and 1.5 you can interrupt either cast.

Between 1.5 and 1.75 case 1 is screwed and case 2 interrupts.

Between 1.75 and 2.0 case 1 gets the heal off and case 2 interrupts.

Between 2.0 and 2.25 case 1 gets heal off and case 2 is screwed.

Over 2.25 they both get it off.

There is some chance that haste can hurt you but the chance that not having it might hurt you is at least the same if not greater.

Hahaga, I love the hotbar / UI argument. Uuuuuuuh I dont have anymore space on my hotbars, uuuuh it's covering 100% of my screen so I can't see the world anymore...

Utterly ridiculous. What do you need more than 6 hotbars for? If you're too dumb to arrange your spells, or if you're so fucking lazy to use heal crit potions out of your inventory and instead put 20 macros, 20 potions, 5 items and 5 totems on your hotbars, then it's gotta be a clutter, Einstein, wow!

I dare you to post a screenshot of your shitty UI and explain to us why you don't have a single fucking pathetic spot for Cure Curse.

As I said in the other thread when we first learned about a new cure coming with SoH.. I'm glad my defilers rotting away on oasis.. I wouldn't want to have to deal with the maestro fight.. Not that i couldn't do it.. I just don't think it would be fun at all.. You can be a cunt hair from casting/landing a healing spell, that shit lands and fucks people up.. Not my idea of fun tbh.

I love maestro tbh one of the best encounters this expansion by far, well thought out, it gives hints so you can figure out what to do, doesn't require mindless clicking of 8 statues and it wont 1 shot your tank.

I think that's kind of the problem, though. What's the point of the curses if you can just let them wear off? The Maestro curse on the healers is probably the best implementation I've seen so far because it forces you to think about your casting more, but it still doesn't sell me on the concept of a fifth cure type.

I just fought Tranquility as well and both of the curses in that fight could have fallen under the standard cure types without really changing how you'd set up that fight. The only thing that's different is that some people stay impaired longer. You don't need a special cure type with a 1 min recast to achieve that -- you get a similar effect from the way Trakanon's detrimentals work and he has no curses.

I don't know why, if they wanted to make curing more meaningful, they couldn't have taken out most of the annoyance effects and tuned the truly detrimental effects (like the "time bomb" types or disarms on the tanks) to work more consistently. You still get annoyance effects in the curse category and you still get encounters with curses where you have to play whack-a-mole with the other cure types (Maestro's reactive arcane) so nothing's really changed, they way I see it.

What it amounts to is that they did this to take some random luck out of encounters. Now you can have effects like target drops or charms that instead of being uncurable are curses. Now when your tank gets this effect he can be cured while generally speaking most other people will not be cured. This takes out the random luck of the wrong person taking the negative effect over and over and causing a wipe because there is nothing you can do about.
