Default Re: Good Job Soe on SoH

Just to add something, even if I was 100% casual, I'de want EQ2 to be hard as fuck, but still workable in a decent amount of time.

If I could only play an hour a day for the rest of my term playing Eq2, I'de still want it to be hard. I'de move onto an easier fucking game, not cry nerf every other second.

Since I do play a bit more than an hour a day, fuck that. SOE can get off their lazy ass when it comes to randomly generated loot and mobs, take the time to script their shit properly, test it, and release it properly. With gear that matches the skill level required to kill the mobs. Or hell, fuck it, make SoH a contest zone, lol.

What makes someone who plays EQ2 20 hours a week so different than someone else who watches TV 20 hours a week?

I don't get why its such a huge sin to commit 3 hours a night everynight to your favorite hobby? If you watch 3 hour long TV shows a night, everynight you're suddenly a loser who needs to investigate some sunshine!

If you watch two 30 minute sitcoms a night and then watch a 2 hour movie, you're a loser who needs to investigate some sunshine!

Lets start over...even the trash in this zone appears to hit harder than most names in the group zones mentioned, ergo this zone doesnt appear to be as easy as a group zone. Happy now?

My ONLY point is that the mobs are harder than those in CoD and Maidens or at least are for the most of the playerbase.
So instead of following the obvious zone progression(which by the way, is given to you in a quest, which it seems some guilds are too stupid to even follow, even the so-called hardcore ones), you went after the sisters. Good Job.

for self gratification? *shrug*

right now if you can take out one of the remaining avatars i think that speaks for itself, why not focus on that instead of complain about SoH.

I think we might agree on something here. 20 hours of TV a week will eat your soul, rot your brain, and make you dumber by the day.

20 hours a week is a generously low number too, we all know it. Even if that all your RAIDING, its not the time commitment needed to be end game at eq2.

Hardcores here spit so much hype, that the begin to believe it themsleves.

No sisters were an acident of pathing tbh

Too much exploring and not enough time actually raiding tbh, got the quest from the mender, but was not a real raid night for us, more of a we're on lets check it out type of thing.

The thing is Im not really disagreeing that the zone is too easy for the loot it provides, I was just pointing out that I dont think it is easier than most group zones.

and how does PUR's killing the trash with 3 groups or less make it easier than a group zone? I was always under the impression that a group zone meant 1 group?

My time at the computer in the evenings has replaced the time I used to spend in front of the TV, so your point is as dumb as you.

Also, if you'd just care to do some math, instead of pulling numbers out of your ass, see how many hours are between RoK release and first time VP was cleared, that gives you a max time frame, calculate with 5h/day.
So, with only 10h a week VP would still have been cleared within 2007.

I just proved you wrong, so it's time for the little click in your brain, so you reset and give us a speech about HC raiders and no-lifers again.

EDIT: In Eq2, I'm hardly hardcore, but I played eq1 since its BETA release, and I was fairly hardcore there. So no pulling that 'elitist' shit on me. Your talking to a guy who's got CL to look up to as the dominant guild on the server, lockin shit down. I raid like 4 times a week, and even I want this shit to get harder.
Or how about even better those bitching about wanting zones that only 2-5% of the playerbase can accomplish anything in shut the fuck up and realize that they are not that important. Realize that they don't deserve special treatment or special areas.

that maybe they should all band together sell their uber characters and make a game of thier own, where they can all circle jerk each other at how uber they are.

You could do it with 1 group np, and various PURs did on the respawning loot dropping x2s.

Which, coincidentally, trash that respawns should never drop loot.

Also my point was that if a PICK UP RAID can enter a zone and mow down the trash and maybe even a named, on the first night, without problems - then the zone is way too fucking easy.

A PUR is even shittier at raiding than Alesis' guild.
