yes, the items that drop there are for the most part better than any other items in game.

thus what you have stated is don't kill VS b/c he is infact a waste of time and we are better off just deleting that zone b/c going there is pointless.

You dont have time to raid? Then dont fucking raid go clear Maidens once a week and shut your mouth.

Right now in eq2 the best loot in the game is dropped in a zone that was cleared from front to end in less than 48 hours after it went live, we have pick-up raids killing 3 named within 24 hours after it went live, none of which would bother me except for the fact that the best loot drops in this easy joke of a zone.

EITHER

A. Make the zone harder, make the named harder and the day it is done destroy all gear looted before this "new" SoH goes live.

B. Nerf the loot so it is inline with the difficulty and then destroy all the loot made before the day you changed all the zone's loot.

If you think giving loot away is the key to gaining favour with the casual crowd you are mistaken, most of the casual crowd like to be challenged/engaged when they play its only a small percentage of whiny bitches who need loot handed to them without effort.

I bet in normal SOE fashion the loot will be nerfed soon. Too much trouble to actually revamp the zone to be a challenge.

O.K

I don't raid. Don't have time to raid on any guild on the server's schedule. I may never raid again.

That being said, we went in w/ two groups to clear trash that is now x4 and only wiped once when I died and, for the most part, I was the only one healing the MT.

1. The zone is way too easy - think labs w/o multi grouped trash mobs.

2. The loot for the effort is waaaay too good, especially off trash, although we saw no loot (mabye its been moved to names??)

This zone is "cute"; a starter zone to bring lvl 75+ mains and alts to get better gear than instances zones. The trash should drop legendary at best (mabye 80% of the stats and no uber effects/bonuses) and mabye one named should be "tank and spank" to let casual raid guilds get some practice.

Clarify: some drops in SOH are better than equivalent drops elsewhere. Some drops in SOH, especially those in the charm slots were never properly itemized in prior ROK raid content anyway..

Doing Venril does still have a point because in terms of loot. The mythicals (and thus progression from 1-4) are still and likely for some expansions to come, the most overpowered items and bang for your buck in terms of raiding. Mythical updates are the ultimate 24x loot pinata.

Your comment about SOH cannibalizing ROK raid content is not really accurate:
What is now gone is the need to repeatedly RETURN to T1, Venril, OK or COD once your raid force is "mythicalized". Which is absolutely fine with me.

T4 vs. SoH is a non issue, yes SoH offers some top shelf items for SOME slots, but T4 is still required gear upgrades for progression in terms of both class armor patterns and other key items not to mention entrance to Trak.

No. Loot unless patently broken should never be nerfed secondary to the mechanics in which most raid loot is attributed to guild members based on a point system. Should the difficulty of the zone be substantially or marginally increased? Maybe. But I would exercise caution on opinions offered from those who may have spent the last few months farming T1-3 for loot upgrades which are now less appealing.

SOH (in its ENTIRETY) is no question in my mind more challenging than T1, which are nothing but glorified milk runs for loot, half of which is transmute fodder from day 1. Would also say, in its entirety, more challenging than Korsha.

SOH is more free of BS stun/stifle/knockback effects which can make raiding exquisitely unfun and therefore I like the zone.

There is, IMO, only one form of loot which actually should be nerfed, and that is mythical, which regardless of SOH drops is still OP as fuck compared to everything in the game.
