Is there a website where people can go to ask questions about EQ2 and get answers? Seems if you post here all you get is a bunch of 14 year olds trying to impress their ambiguously gay 14year old forum friends.

Specificity matters. Ask a question about something specific, you will likely get a specific answer. Ask a highly generalized question like the OP's, and you will get rather general (and less than helpful) answers.
Oh, and don't try asking "What is the strat for killing xxx?" and expect not to get flamed. You may get some real answers doing that anyway, as it is actually a question for something specific. The flames are just because many people feel figuring it out yourself is part of the game (and not that difficult).
