Think you did indeed get a bug there Ween. We used to shaman-pet pull him down to that annoying sperm-shaped guy near the entrance that won't shut up, and then tank him there. Since the patch (which specifically mentioned pet pulls), that = curse.

He has one other emote about fighters not protecting you, contrary to popular belife it has nothing to do with intercede from what we can see, rather he curses you if you do not have fighters activly engaged and hitting him every few seconds.

Engaged with a caster, NOT A PET, MT picks up, memwipes, offtank picks up, memwipes, mt picks up. repeat untill dead. Enjoy loot.

I do not believe most people could kill him when he is draining 15% health and power every 6s or whatever it is throughout the entire fight.

The curse is easily avoidable though, just pay attention to the emotes. Its another Ire/Malevolence, but not as specific.

Which is why I wouldn't suggest trying to kill him while being cursed, was just pointing out very few ppl could kill him while ignoring the script because doing so would result in you being cursed and you'll be oop in no time with the curse.

I hate to say this again but yes it's in the emotes, the clue being

"You Again".

This explains why some guilds can tank with one fighter and others can't, figure it out. The key is the "You again"

The emote also explains, most likely, why some people are saying they get cursed on the pull. The key is "You again"

We've tested with taunts/detaunts, hate transfers, hate priorities, threat weapons, none of it triggers the curse. It is purely triggered when he says, "You again"

The idea of the fight being figure it out and read the emotes, figure out what "You again" means.

... and thats just fine imo. if youve been following the thread, theres been numerous theories and assumptions, false claims, obvious lies and other stuff in here. this thread was basically missing one thing: someone figuring out what soe actually did with that script and now most of it has been puzzled together to a useable pattern.

one thing came to my mind: the patch notes said the script would only consider fighters with autoattack enabled as fighters. this is just a theory... but... if he detaunts Fighter_A, shouldnt disabling autoattack on A's side help avoiding regain of aggro?

This is the most cut and dry strat...do this and get loot. This guy is even easier now than he was before.

We tried to follow the script but got the curse and we actually managed to power trough 3 curses but wiped on the 4th when the mob was at 8%.
At first I didn't like the fact that they changed this dude at all but after a few tries it was kinda fun trying something new.
We'll get it next time and hopefully my Hood of Dark Broodlings will drop.

I don't think it was that they changed him... they fixed him so you couldn't deactive the script. He was always suppose to be as he is now i believe.
