There's no reason not to anyway. The fight is boring as shit without putting SOMETHING interesting into it, and having the scouts tank it is at least semi-interesting.

We kill him last night in a very messy fashion, that really cleaned up after 50% (just from getting adapted to it). The fight is makes a bit of sense, but I think I'm still missing something OR someone isnt listening.

I don't see how you guys have any one person tank it. He just kept swapping to someone every couple seconds regardless of what we were doing. It is however, perfectly fine to have your tanks DPS.... just wait until about 10-30 seconds into the fight when the hate list has had plenty of time to build. (that way the named doesnt go on/off/on the same tank within the "YOU AGAIN" timeframe.

HOWEVER - we were constantly getting the "enough of your stealthy attempts to divert me" speach. I mentioned to the entire raid NO hate/de-hate spells/ca's, no bliss potions... but you know how that is... theres always 1 or 2 people that just dont know wtf to do. (50k dkp minus!) Do hate transfers count?

Which leads me to believe that message is caused by either:
a. someone not listening, and de-agroing - through procs, poisons, or maybe even a retard clicking his de-agros.
b. Or - Does stealth or stealth attacks set that off also?

Since others claim to have been able to tank it with a tank, maybe he only does his target change when someone violates the taunt/de-agro deal.

If that is true, it would be really easy to tank using only dps to hold agro - As long as the rest of the raid dps's slowly and using only big hits to avoid setting off the fucking stoneskin.

Is there something stupid I'm missing? Or do I need to simply pull folks aside and tell them to learn to listen?

I'm pretty sure that comes from people hitting scout deaggros because when I looked at our logs from the first night, it was immediately followed by a magic attack(3-500 damage) on a scout. Stealth doesn't try to divert anything, but Elude(etc) does.

At least that was my thinking...

Nah, he does it pretty randomly against scouts no matter what, at least to us. The 3-500 damage is associated with his knockback/deaggro.

Check if your scouts are using any dehate item, like the betrayal's song weapon.

I don't understand how you ppl get the curse..

I'm a Guardian and I taunt the mob, I have hate transfers, I use Reinforcement (aggro position), our scout/mage are using de-taunt and we NEVER -->

NEVER :P had a curse or a problem when killing this mob.

Our raidleader told us at the first try that the fighter needed to stay afk and the scout tank it, but after somes try we decided to try with fighters tanking him to see what was that curse and we NEVER saw it.


So... WTF ?

This fight is not hard. Pull him far away from his DJ booth and Master P never curses. It does not matter who tanks him. Too much disinformation gets posted here.
