Wrong. He will curse no matter where you pull him. However the curse is 100% avoidable no matter where you pull him too.

We were having issues with his curse, but no longer.

We had all kinds of disinformation about fighter classes not being able to assist in this encounter and all kinds of crazy crap.

Basically if your resists are 8K plus divine? I believe it was, then that AE doesn't do enough damage to kill you if your healers don't suck. The mana drain portion is the one that will ruin your day as the fight can take a bit. However, if you are right next to him then you don't lose enough mana to matter.

What we did was have everyone get in a corner near the zone and used a mage pet to pull him to us. Once there I(MT-Guardian) just taunted him off and the whole raid just piled up all close and cozy together and burned him down, pretty simple fight now, albeit it took us 7-8 minutes or so to kill him.

Clearly Master P is sometimes broken and is a horribly designed mob that is causing these problems.

You guys do know he has 2 AEs, Divine Maelstrom and the Force of Hatred, which is the real curse, that has the knockback portion and huge dmg and power drain. Divine Maelstrom is a distance dependant dmg and power drain

Well.. Considering one is a divine AE and the other is an AE CURSE, yes, we're not as stupid as you seem to think.

The issue is some people aren't getting the CURSE, no one has mentioned not getting the AE.

Except on first pull, we never had the curse again, i guess the way we pull it works. We can do anything, chain taunt / detaunt without causing any problem. He just switches quite a lot in his script. Last time we were 14 on him, the zerker wanted to tank that day, so he was MT, i was OT with my guard. Keeping intercept for the switches gives you enough time to let him do his things, about 5 seconds after switching, he says something about stealthy attempt. right after that, hitting recapture always gave the agro back to the MT.

I may be wrong, but after the switch and before he says something about stealthy attempt, he seems immune to fighter agro, even with reinforcement and 10+ hits in with 14 people in raid.

as a guard, i tried tanking him close to his spot, curse with no taunts being used, pulled h im back a little ways, no curse with taunts and everything else on my hotbars thrown at him.
