Maelvolance & Ire
Hey, I love this place. Thanks to all of you who have helped me in the past. And I never "post" for anything until I've died to it at least twice.
In shard of Hate, the sisters are peculiar for us.
We have had a few different things happen.
I know now how to make it just the two mobs (Maelvolance and Ire) and how to remove the other 3 sisters.
We've tried tanking each, (never tried mezzing one) and our heals / semi-tier 1 raid equipment isn't up to the challenge. We've had our MT try to hold both, which for some reason didn't work very well.
It's a slaughter like the first twenty times we tried those skeletons in PR.
Once, we cleared all the trash in hate, and all 5 of the sisters were just sitting there active... and I managed to solo pull one of the top sisters, which dropped nothing. Then we figured out how to make it just the two linked bottom ones. (it wasn't very hard to figure out)
But the encounter is whupping us. We're a tier 1 (only) capable raid guild, that can do Master P / Imzok (got him to 35% once.. he will die soon)
Any suggestions?

You need your dps to show some control and stay low on the hate list. We have been running heavy healers for this encounter with 3 clerics and 3 shamens and 2 druids. split the druids to target through each name and have your clerics and shamens target through there tank keeping up wards and reactives so there ready to take damage when the mob emotes. Stick a dirge and a swash on Ire to keep her a little gimp having them hit there deaggro everytime its up debuffing ires offensive capibility. Put the rest of your force on Maelvolance and burn her down slow. Each time they emote. Have your fighters hit tab to clear there targets and the mob should automatically come to them, then they can start taunting. Try building three tank groups around a brawler, crusadar and Warrior. Once Maelvolance is down burn Ire. The damage/power drains fighters are immune to unless they loose aggro and in which case until they emote again they will not be immune.
Thats worked for us

Re: Maelvolance & Ire
Heh.. Unless your tanks are horrible, it's fairly difficult for dps to keep aggro off the appropriate tank archetype in this fight.
Hint A) One tank = fail, without appropriate gear to say FU to the 'script'.
Hint B) READ WHAT THE MOBS SAY.
Hint C) They tell you what to do.
Hint D) READ WHAT THE MOBS SAY.
Follow those hints and you shouldn't have any trouble!
Personally, I think the fights actually easier on most people than Master P, but meh.

I left the strat kinda grey...
The emote from Ire and mael will say. Brawler, Warrior or Crusdar so you need that person that gets emoted to be the one that is tanking that name during that time. As long as no one gets stupid and pulls aggrro its a fairly easy encounter

dont need a healer heavy setup for those at all, just a regular mt-group with an additional tank, like brawler and a semi-decent OT-grp with the crusader. be sure to not take both mobs too far apart to make bards debuffs land on both.
besides: i didnt even know you could fight the other 3 sisters at all oO

yeah they have nothing that does anything from them being in prox to each other so just stack your raid up or only space them a few meters apart like he said above.

It is automatic. Tanks clear their targets when emoted like Loxodon said above and they'll automagically get the correct target.
That is, unless they've changed something else on the encounter.
/waits for the next round of stealth changes to the named

Re: Maelvolance & Ire
Except that if your DPS is actually working they can pull the aggro before it actually touches the tank. I know I typically do when we do sisters and they emote.

Re: Maelvolance & Ire
Or, your tank could read/someone could call the correct NPC for that archetype to be tanking and you could not gimp your DPS like noobs.
You know, whichever/whatever.
