Default Tier 2 ready?

Hey, I'm a raid commander in a "Casual" (and by casual I mean unsuccessful and not very good) raid guild. We raid 1 (maybe) 2 times a week. And have a blast doing it.

I know guilds roll around VP nowadays like it's yesterday's news, but we're still plodding away in Tier 1.

Our kills are - Protector's Realm (everything but Imzok - dunno why.. we get him to 35% every time, then for some reason people go have a smoke mid fight or something and I die <-- main tank) We crush every encounter in there on the first go.

We can kill the first 3 named in Shard of Hate, but not the sisters. I know HOW to do it, but can't seem to figure out the "emote" part where we have to switch tanks.

Are we ready to try Tier 2? Which mobs should be killable? we parse low 30's dps, but that's with like 8 healers.

Thanks

You should reflect on why this is happening first.

at 35 percent u have to use the rods to deactivate the shiny things on both ends of the room i cant remeber what drops the rod but its one of the mobs in there if u dont use them the mob does not take damage and reflects

Have you gone to Tomb of Thugga? That's tier 1 and pretty easy at that.

You can probably take down 1 or 2 of the named in Kor-Sha, but without a good 2nd tank group anything past that would be tough.

I wouldn't recommend Venril Sathir unless you have a really good set of healers and a really well disciplined raid force as a whole.

So you never actually read the post you started a month ago where multiple people basically spelled out for you what happens at 35%?

Reading it and executing it are different things. I know how to do it, it's just making it happen that seems to be our stumbling block.

I got great help there, and with the strat we've gotten him to his reflect (hell we've only tried twice total.)

That wasn't the question I was asking.

But thank you Torrent, I will begin looking at some of the Kor'Sha named.

If you know the strat but still can't kill imzok, then you really don't have a chance in hell on Venril, but you could maybe kill one named in kor sha. I'd suggest you keep working on Imzok, Pawbuster, and Widow Mistress til you get those down.

Truth is you'll never know unless you try. I have to say that if you're struggling with Imzok then, well, maybe not.. But why not give it a go and see how you get on? Horrible horrible death is part of the fun of raiding anyway!

If you can get your entire guild to call you Gold Leader, you can kill Venril.

Honestly if you are having a prob killing iz and it is because ppl keep attacking him once he puts up his spell then there is only 1 way you are EVER going to beat him. That is either A) get your guild under control because if you do not there is no chance in hell that you will be able to beat much in this xpac) or B) boot ppl who are still causing him dmg while the shield is up. People have to learn and if they cannot follow such a simple command as to stop doing dmg there is NO HOPE for the said person
It is time for you as Raid commander to take control and not let the guild control you.
