- The avatars now work the graveyard shift! They will only linger during the dead hours of AM to see what sort of competition they really have out for them.

Only tricky part is, non-hardcore raiders are not geared like hardcore raiders. I mean the avatars might be farmed but they are no joke to pretty much anyone in the game. I'll go out on a limb and say, if you are not clearing VP you will not be killing any avatars. I mean lets be blunt, you need resists, HP, mythical powah and other dps/healing powerhouse elements in general on the encounters. But is anyone suggesting the guild who is doing 40k through Kor-sha is being done wrong somehow because they have no shot at avatars? My guess is they wouldn't go fight it if they could (not for hours atleast). Not that they are pussy, but its easy to pick and choose some battles based on odds.

So with all that in mind...are there guilds clearing VP with unfair odds against them so that the avatar game is unfair for them?

I really don't think so, it is unfortunate that they cannot get on early enough to beat the top guilds who do but it is what it is. the mobs aren't designed to be fair, thats why they made everything instanced over how Eq1 used to be

I was in a top end raiding guild in eq1 and we had a rotation set up for specific mobs, if most people weren't such arrogant pricks they could talk to the top guilds and ask them to let them have a few pulls on a mob but everyone feels the need to bash said guilds so its pretty understandable why they won't let them

Alesis is an advocate of an entitlement society. His motto is basically "I pay my money so give me my avatar gear." He is pretty much hated by everyone on this site and will of course result to real life attacks when his shitty arguments are challenged.

I for one think contested are fine as they are, 1 cool thing would be if sony would maybe once a month or once ever couple months would hold some kind of cross server best of the best or something where they would design a new encounter and open the zone up at once time on all servers. First guild to figure the strat out and kill it gets a mythical piece. everyone else is booted out of the instance and only 1 person ww has teh piece.. that would be competition. Motha fuckers would be taking off work n shit.
