I am not an elitist, but, 2-3hour solo quest run or 1 hour heroic instance run should not equate a fabled reward. If a questline does give a fabled reward at the end, make it a bit more time/effort consuming. Heroic instances should never ever ever give a fabed drop other than a master or two.
SOE wants more players, then dont give in so easily to the instant gratification crowds, make them log in everyday to further a questline to get that reward, sure - some top end players will recieve the reward faster than others, but if joe casual gets everything he wants with minimal playing time, then they will just move to another game anyway.

But srsly I also agree that they gave away the content in this expansion instead of letting people earn it, especially in regards to solo and group content.
People should have not outgeared months of solid EoF farming (I'm not talking Avatar geared) in a matter of hours in RoK. IMO it shouldn't have even been comparable until we started raiding in RoK.
Then maybe...
People wouldn't be at ungodly % chances for everything
T1 would have loot worth a shit and be upgrading EoF.
T2 would.. have loot worth better of a shit than T1, and be the bridge of getting mostly RoK geared.
T3 would've taken out EoF and brought the new line of upped damage potential to grasps
T4 could've been the awesome shit
T5 would've been like zomg link that again!
So much for progression. Remember when 9 double attack from a 7 set was uber?
