Ok, got this beast to 68% last night. I ran a search here on flames and all i got was 18 pages of progression threads and guild recruiting adds before my eyeballs rolled back in my head.

Yeah, we all read the "OMG someone fed them the strat in an e-mail" thread, and it does help.

The zone graphics and mechanics seem rather buggy...big time buggy, suxors turning alt models on off for each pull so we can see people....and if the graphics are that bugged i'm certain the fight mechanics are not without bugs. So i guess the tards who originally got that email did a rotten job of actually Q&Aing the encounter...cause if they actually helped the dev who fed them make it less buggy, it might have detracted from their uberness in some way. Wuoshi was not this buggy, neither was Mayong. they were just hard.

If anyone wants to share experiences on Trakanon, feel free to do it here. I'm pretty sure it will die tonight before any of it is useful for us, but it might help the next guy if you feel like hinting or sharing.

debuff from trakanon is gay, especially when you get it each 2nd-3rd cast. But it's more like a complain about gayness of this mob, rather than about any bugs

The only bug that matters in this fight is the hourglass and people dying. Everything else is ignorable.

I can't imagine how much I would be pissed off if I played a summoner, because even on my wizard I'am getting mad at times when I dont even use dots.

It's mostly when someone cries for a rez and noone gets them meanwhile mine's que'd/casting for about 10 secs as I get continually interrupted/slowed...then when I get a free moment to actually do some damage I get prophetic or the hour glass...or rays.

This is a tough encounter at first, and it's going to require a lot of time put in. First step is weeding out the morons who can't look at the detrimental window. Second step is learning to cure yourself. Third step is once you've discovered living, learn to dps on this mob with everything going on. You are on a time table and don't have the luxury of just healing the mob to death.

On the side. Mayong not buggy? I count lag due to charm a bug. If yall kill this mob tonight I will be very fucking happy. Let me know how it goes.

1) I know you are supposed to stand in range of the orb 14 feet if i remember correctly, however you can walk inside the stupid thing, so is it 14 feet from the center of the orb or 14 feet from the wall of the orb?

2) His AEs become deadly if you walk outside the safety zone of the orb, but if you have the houglass you have to get away from everyone and fast, so does that person leave the safe zone or just get as far away as posible without leaving the safe zone?

Get 22m away from everybody, if you can't figure out how to deal with that and you have a 15m radius circle of protection, then you need to learn how to do math.
