Was disappointed with the lack of difficulty of the zone. Our group was the first to zone/clear it on the server, took us an hour and a half. Group was Pally/Swash/Brig/Dirge/Fury/Monk. The only mob that really gave us any trouble was the epic x2, but once you figure it out its as easy as the rest, led a pickup tank through it and one pulled it the next day.

Just hope to see a decent master drop rate out of it to perk up the abysmal market on this server.

I ran the zone for the first time last night and felt that it was in line with the other instanced content that currently exists in RoK. We wiped a couple times to the stuff already mentioned in this thread but after a few runs it'll be steamroll mode for sure. I'm just happy that masters will be dropping below level 75 so hopefully I can finish getting the rest of my tier 8 masters

Haven't found a use for them whatsoever.

Guild bought quite a few and no dice.
And so far we've had one 71-74 master drop in there, so there is hope.

Tried this zone last night, most names were not very tough but Siltsea gave us problems and we just couldn't drop him. We were of the understanding that he must be tanked in the tent that does not have sand. Is this true, or a rumor? Besides that his AE "Dehydration" was pretty formitable and was the leading factor to our defeats. Does anyone know a way to handle this mob better, or is it simply a job for more heals and resists?

Also has anyone fought this guy with ranged DPS? We had a hard time figuring out a way to set up our ranged ppl so they could hit the mob without geting slammed by tornadoes, and it seemed the AE did worse dmg while we attacked from range.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We must have gotten lucky... we just pulled him into the corner behind where he stands and dps'd him down... didn't even think about hoping in a tent and we first pulled him.

Got knocked around a little but didn't notice the AE doing anything that wasn't easily healed through... Pally swash swash dirge def fury group... T1/2 raid equppied...

Tried a tent (dunno if it had sand in it or not), with lots of LoS issues.

Tank him where Zaiden mentioned.

We had a very nice tank and a plate healer. The DPS was a bruiser, a conjy, and me (a ranger). We also had a trouby.

We were told that tanking him off of the sand was the trick to him, and that we needed to be in a tent so we didnt get tossed around. The big AE would normaly hit us for enough to bring all but the tank to 20% or less. It could be you had nice elemental resists due to your druid class healer. Also haveing two healers seems to be a big benefit for him. I'm thinking the "off the sand" idea is a myth, and we prolly should have just whoop on him where he stood...

A corner is good so you don't get booted to hell.

Tanked him in the tent each time so far, had 0 problems (other than lower dps). I suggest it sheerly because its best for minimizing healer downtime from getting knocked around. In the tent its just a quick bump and over with.
