And yes, if you are really unlucky 2 of them can be the tanks on the fight.
Happened to us one time, pretty much sucked.

How about 5 out of 6 people in the MT grp.
It was fucking epic.

Re: Silverwing, help!
i've always believed the silverwing charm was 50% , 35% , and 20% of his HP.. just use dumbfires and pets to soak the charm usually and its all fine

Re: Silverwing, help!
Hm, this fight was easier than imagined.
As cleric, I recommend to spec for the AGI end line ability (ST AOE block). Helps for whenever Tortoise Shell or Bladedance or whatever aren't up. Also, the less MT people are unprotected and in AOE range, the better, since the group wards will be spread out over all the unprotected buggers... so make sure the dirge/coercer/whatever joust when protection is down.
The mezz AOE (not a stun) is purely a positioning thing. If you get it, reposition. If you don't get it, stick to that spot.

Re: Silverwing, help!
First, let me say that we've already killed Silverwing and cleared VP minus Trak. However, I have a question about Silverwing's mechanics that I just can't seem to grasp. I know about his frontal stun, and his wing beat, and the adds, and the charm, and the purple screen. What I don't grasp is, is his single target spell called Trance a result of not doing something, or is it purely random? For those of you who don't know the name of the spell, I'm referreing to the single target mezz he throws on the MT that forces the MT down one position on the hate list. I have my defiler curing it as fast as humanly possible, but I want to know if there is some way that we haven't considered to prevent it altogether. We've tried stuns, stifles, etc to try and interrupt his casting, and it may seem to help a little, but it inevitably happens every fight.

Re: Silverwing, help!
The simple answer is sonic interference, torp strike, Blade Chimes, and any other interrupts/cast speed increasers you can keep up so he can't cast as easily.
It's just a regular spell, he won't even try to cast it every time.
