Silverwing, help!

Hi,

My guild has been stuck on Silverwing for a bit now. We pull him to the lever, we get adds, and we constantly get him down to around 30% The issue is that the constant stuns on the MT healers, or a huge wing swipe will kill off a few people in MT group.

Is there any way to avoid that Stun and keep heals on the tank? Is there any way to avoid the wing swipe? Some trick or positioning that we haven't thought of? It's getting frustrating, because beside's these factors the mob doesn't seem that hard.

To avoid stun have you MT position it right so it doesn't face your MT group, also have defiler use Words of the Ancestors if group gets stunned and everyone stand in one place. To avoid aoe have a druid using tortoise shell in mt group and everyone stand on top of him.

Also if you time it correct and have good hp you can survive aoe by prehealing etc, usually on my defiler i barely go below 50% when it hits and most of the time it doesn't hit at all cause i have stoneskin from Brace of Corporeal Darklight up.

Druid should be whoring up as much (properly timed) JC/ROA as they can, to keep the shell's flowing on time. Group deathsave if you can't shell. And yeah, don't be retarded about standing in front of the mob... that's a bad practice for any healer on ANY mob, whether or not it has a frontal. Or anyone in general really. If you're not tanking something, why the fuck are you in front of it?

This fight is not difficult at all once you understand all the mechanics. Way back in early ROK we did it with 3 healers in raid, and that was with a LOT less gear and no mythicals. It's probably doable with 2 now.

I agree about standing in front of any mob, the frontals will kill you. The tortoise shell is a great idea, will have to pass that along. Defiler already ancestors all the time, as well as having sanctuary up as much as possible. I survive the wingbeat almost every time, but other healers tend to go down hard, randomly. Sometime's it seems that wingbeat hits extra hard occasionally, perhaps just group wards getting chewed through.

- Anybody who can't take wingbeat should joust it. (including any classes in the MT group who're not healers or the MT).

- If the arcane is hitting anybody, the mob is badly positioned, or they are. It's a frontal, so get on it's side or back. They spell originates from the mob's lower stomach area, not his mouth (so standing under his belly isn't always safe).

- Get your druid to put on recast reducing gear. There's a mace from a quest, a ring, the list goes on. Then coordinate RoA and JC wisely. Have them practice timing before you pull, make tell macro's, etc. You can tortoise every single wingbeat if you do it right.

- If coordination is a problem, put a swashie in the MT. You'll get hate transfer, and an additional AE avoidance to block any that the druid can't cover (they can block every 4th or 5th ae).

- If it's still a problem, get the dirge to respec for bladedance, to give you one more.

- If heals are an issue, put a druid in a group with a shaman. Whenever THAT druid has tortoise up, both the druid and the shaman can stay in for the ae, and the defiler can heal/cure you, or top up the members of the MT group who need help after it hits.

- Have all your healers put on the Ring of the Chosen.

we kill silverwing nearly everytime by firstpull, the only thing that causes us to wipe is, when our MT is charmed and the OT too... yesterday even the add-tank was charmed, so there was hardly no chance to survive the situation ;<

so, are there general thing we're doing wrong, that causes this?

Burn the adds faster..
