Not every 5 seconds but during our matron fights we would have at least 3 people go LD on a lot of fights. Seems to be something about that zone.

Ya we just had to leave, 5 to 6 people at a time were crashing, I couldn't stay logged on for 10 to 20 secs, I had to keep logging back in till i was able to gate, it's not happening anywhere else either, some of our guys can't get back in.

It isn't zone related.

This definitely a bug involving specific characters.

What happens is, playing fine in a zone, then me and 3 other guild members have a client EQ2 app crash at exactly the same time.

I can log in from different comps. No matter which comp I try and log into after that, the character will repeatedly chain crash at log in, or allow me to log in for between a second and a minute, before the game crashes again. This isn't an LD, it's a client application crash.

So I can play any toon fine from any of my comps except for my main character, and my main character will crash from any of my comps.

I run EQ2 on a stripped down version of windows with that and EQ2 as the only things on the machine. I've deleted everything and reinstalled, same exact thing happens. I've also deleted all UI files and the cache and all files in the paks folder in the EQ2 directory and allowed them to reinstall from the patcher.

This is a character bug, plain and simple, kind of like those Xmas containers from hell that were causing everyone to crash around Christmas based on the quest.

But, unfortunately, this bug appears related to some problem between the server and my toon, rather than just something my toon has on it. With this bug, the server does something at exactly the same instant that crashes the exact same people everytime, and then chain crashes them repeatedly when they log back in, until they are able to zone. And then things seem to work again for awhile and the problem goes away temporarily, until it resumes later in a different zone.

I don't see how they can possibly troubleshoot and isolate this based on all the variables, I have no idea will happen.

Yeah could be LFG never thought of it that way. It always was our main tank Defiler that crashed. 3-4 times a night while someone else might crash sporadically it was the shaman that crashed consistently
