I agree that these are even more annoying now than they were before (if that's possible).
The only thing I would say is that the changes also affect the guilds that can't put out 20k+ dps and it will make these mobs quite difficult in terms of power management for those guilds. They will have to work and improve to beat them, so it's another way of slowing the flow of items to pickup/casual raids which is what many raiders asked for.
As always with SoE, it's a case of 'be careful what you wish for', because you might just get it, and not in the way you wanted.
I would guess many of you thought the same as our guild when the 'difficulty' changes were announced - that they will pump up HP and maybe aoe damage. It's the fastest solution with the least scripting / coding and testing required. We don't like it that much but it was to be expected.
