It's the same with a troub and Claras. But if you're a raider and sacrifce bladedance or DKTM for your personal dps then you're not being a good bard.

Oh, I completely agree with you there. But I knew I was leaving the raiding scene so I decided to experiment a little before I left

Kall is very easily the best dirge I ever saw and yes those parses are accurate. As for GoW not being hardcore raiders... we had a set 4 day a week schedule but I would have put our numbers up against anyone. We were clearing zones in record fashion. If being hardcore means camping a contested spawn for hours on end then yeah we werent hardcore. That was the GoW concept set forth by the leaders. "Do you want to see everything this game as to offer and still have a life?", I'm almost positive thats what the home page said.

4 days? We ran out of stuff to do after 3 days (that includes Chel'Drak) ... :smileysad: ... and that was not an aggressive schedule at all. I was logged off by 9-10pm or earlier easily.

It's quite possible to reach that as a Dirge I would say. When I raided I went STR/AGI line and I could parse around 700 with no fabled weapons in MT group. Unfortunately, I give up raidining quite early on so I can only speculate what a fully fabled Dirge can obtain, but ~950 seems reasonable to me.

If I dropped DKTM and went agility for easy stealth in combat (bump) and max poison proc I could do 950 too... especially if Xelus would actually DPS mod buff me, which he won't.

With just 30% dps and 23% haste I parsed right at 420 last night in DT and that is without GDH. Our offtank dirge only beat me by 80 zonewide.

That is with STR/WIS, which is the line any intelligent dirge takes.

I still don't understand your numbers, Gaige. You say you only had 420? I just don't see how you are getting that low even if you take the factory standard AA's.

Poison is only adding ~3% DPS. I'm sorry, but you can't say taking the AGI line is giving some Dirges +400 DPS on a Dirge that went the WIS line. I don't have many pases left of my dirge since I haven't played him since April or so, but I have still have some of me reaching ~500 dps at level 68, on a 5min fight with NO fabled gear or any damage masters spells. (And no, I wasn't in the DPS group, I was MT group)

I'm sorry, but for a Dirge in a guild that is well known for it's DPS, yours is pretty low by anyones standards.

I am? Our other dirge was at what, 480 maybe 500. I don't get dps mod so my buffs are my own.

I was at 494 str, 399 int, 30% dps mod, 23% haste last night. I use claymore/wurmslayer, proc earring/belt/bracelet.

If other dirges can do more than me in that zone with the same setup, then I applaud them, because from talking to other dirges and reading the forums, I don't see how they would.
