EoF fights are making potions more of a necessity than previous content. It's just how it is.

I have to agree that the cure trauma potions make it much easier. It takes the top 6 on the parse no time to pop a potion. Especially since half the time its resisted anyways. Saves healers time and power. Our alchy's make a shit load up and put them in the bank to be takin out at cost. Not to difficult to have your top dpsers carry a stack and they only use about 3-5 if he is dropped first pull.

My DPS as a healer is less valuable to the raid then what the top 6 are putting out. Making them stop dps because you want to keep fucking off, is not an excuse. Sure, it works, but its just as damn lazy on your part. Also, Treyloth hits like a fucking bitch. There's no reason you need all 5+ healers in your raid healing the tank. They can throw some cures.

While I agree that using a pot might be to the slightest degree easier on healers, having them not cure is the same as a Conjuror NOT casting shards. Its the same as a Brigand NOT debuffing. Its the same as a healer not warding or healing.

I'm not saying that dps shouldn't cast pots, but imagine for a second that someone dpsing is casting a long cast spell and gets hit with it. Now he has to interrupt THAT spell, hit his pot, then recast that long spell again. Its not just a second of not DPSing, its SEVERAL seconds of not DPSing, and takes the person out of the role on the raid.

You can't always EXPECT someone to do something out of their class defined role on a raid.

Do you realize how little time it takes to cast a cure potion? You're making it seem like a big deal like you're going to lose tons of DPS, get real.

Carrying cure potions is something that should be expected by your raid leader from every single member regardless of class. Don't be an idiot and blame a healer because you were too concerned with 5DPS to not cure yourself quicker than they could cure you.

Did I say me? FFS read a little.

Casting pots is outside of a class defined role. You can't expect it. If everyone only did what their class is supposed to do, none of this would be an issue, and I never said it affected my in the least In fact I said "I'm not saying DPS shouldn't cast pots."

If you need to to beat an encounter do it. But its the same as saynig that a Conjuror should sac his pet to save the raid from wiping. If you have to, you have to. But you shouldn't have to.

Well that is true my dps is crap as well but my debuffs as a defiler are not. I'm not saying that healers shouldn't cure on this fight but they are backup to the potions. If the reflect stays away then that could change.

Sac'ing your pet makes your DPS shit, curing yourself will not alter your DPS at all, or at least it will be a negligible difference. That is the difference. It's not about needing to do it, but if I see an effect on myself I will always cure it if I have the potion. Good luck screaming at your healers on Wuoshi for not curing you.
