Just a quick question. Is there any sort of trick to handling the massive amoutn of damage the tank receives during searing rot?

Last night we rolled in with our normal raid force, 7 healers. Zerks mit was a bit over 6400 and disease resist around 9k. During normal combat he was always at 100%, dropping to 90 or 85 rarely. Once searing rot hit he almost immediately died every time. We time the AE and spam heal through searing, but it never seems to be enough. We've gotten him down to 55% on a couple of occasions, usuaully when we get lucky with big heals landing and emergencies being up.

Our healers are pretty good. We usually do most zones (EoF included) with 5 healers, last night was a "heavy" healing night with 7..but we just couldnt seem to heal through it. I dont notice any noxious on the MT when searing hits (its disease damage) so theres nothng to cure. So umm, does anyone have any tips?

through enough practice, u get to know when the dmg spike is gonna hit, right before, throw up reactives, hots, then heal like the wind

If you are very quick you can do it with as low as 4 healers. We have done it once with 4, but its a lot tougher.

So let me get this straight. We always cure trauma on the MT as soon as it lands, but if we also cure trauma's on the OTHER people who get hit, the tank will take less damage?

That is correct. The debuff does no damage to anyone, except the MT. Each trauma debuff on anyone effects the MT.
