No.
Most of the reason I quit raiding in EQ2 is because of EH and the ridiculous fucking time we spent clearing every fucking peice of trash on the 3rd floor, which was during the weekends when I'd much rather be playing Vanguard.

Disso's policy is that whoever has and is willing to bid the most DKP for an item is entitled to it, provided they can use the item. I've always respected that policy, and felt like it involves the ultimate fairness - you earned the item if you have and are willing to spend the points for it, and if you are willing to take the heat for making a decision others may not agree with.
Usually it's no problem, and items go to the class that can put them to the best use. On occasion, however, the best bow in game may go to a berzerker, or a Vraksakin Claw Club may go to a Defiler, when the Defiler has more points than a Pally.
Anyway, I think when you have the points, and you really really want something, the best practice is total laissez faire bidding.
TBH, I'm not exactly sure how CL's loot policy works, since I've never asked for anything, just looted stuff that would have rotted if I didn't take it. The loot policy wasn't important to me though, which is why I never asked about it.

Dont be stupid. If you want to rehash this arguement go ahead but your fucking wrong if you think that they never saw it naturally. There are tons of things that go on in a guild that you are not aware of. Do you really want to get into this or would you rather just accept things how they are?
EDIT - And if you really did zone out everytime it was up until the encounter was changed recently, that is WORSE becuase you were coming into a zone, getting loot, and leaving exploiting the lockout timer. Yes, the fae wing cloak drops off trash mobs but will not set your lockout. So you are saying that CL openly farmed that and avoided the lockout timer? I fail to see how that is better than yelling because you took loot that you shouldnt have gotten.

I'll agree that I definitely don't want to get into all this again. I wasn't intending to do that now, just wanted to make a point supporting what I've found to be a pretty high moral standard in the guild against committing exploits, whether actual or even questionable ones.
But my bad, please forget I brought up the Rumbler, I'll try and use different examples in the future.

LFG is commenting on the time we were guilded in CL. Which was what, 5 or 6 weeks I think before we left for Vanguard.
In those 5 or 6 weeks the Rumbler spawned once, and I didn't even do that EH but I was in ventrilo.
The other times we cleared to him first and checked track, and he was never up.
The last time, when he was up (pre-nerf) they just offtank'd him and killed the Tender and then cleared the rest of EH.
So as far as I'm concerned: CL never exploited anything while I wore the tag, Dissolution did exploit while I wore the tag.
You can bring up shit from forever ago, but the point is I now know the players in Dissolution and you and I know the players in CL and Psykil.
So therefore you won't bs me with your wonderful stories about how horrible of a guild CL is, etc etc.
So just get over it and worry about yourself.
As for exploiting the lockout timer you are fucking retarded. The lockout for killing trash (which the cloak drops off of) is eight hours - the same lockout you get for zoning in. You could, in theory, zone in every eight hours and farm trash I suppose. So by getting the Rumbler and zoning out you are playing the game as intended and eating your 8 hour, non-named kill lockout.
FFS Ishbu you used to at least pretend to be smart, wtf happened to you.

Gaige, its been over and over, it wasnt an exploit. You of course have to make outlandish claims that it was despite the fact 95% of the eq2 raiding doesnt think it was an exploit because you made such a big deal about it and got shown to be just a bitch and wrong.
Yes, you have to maintain it because during this event you got shown to be such a horrible player wich is basically all you had going for you in this game. You cant have that so you have to try and pretend its some major exploit when in fact it wasnt.
Ive realized this and I also realize you quit the game because you were shown to be such a joke all around. You say it was for vanguard but anyone know knew you knows thats complete bullshit. You always talked about how you had no interest in vanguard until this whole event came up, and vanguard didnt change. Its just you needing to find a way out, an excuse, some other ship to jump to because you lost here. You cant even say you didnt because your gone, while Im still here. You ran, period. We get it, you got shown to be a bitch and ran away. You cant say you didnt because that is exactly what happened.
I actually feel kind of bad about the whole thing. I never want for people to quit the game, but sometimes people just cant swallow what they bite off and they do. Oh well, I wont shed any tears.
Oh and btw, Im not sure where CL being a horrible guild fit into this parrticular conversation, but as long as you wanted to bring it up, what exactly are they so great at? I mean to this date they still havent taken that step to the top of the mountain. They may be on the slopes, but they havent gotten to the peak ever.

Re: No more *avoiding* The Segmented Rumbler
How does this thread get turned around on us? wtf is this bullshit? I have done EH every single time since EoF launched with CL. Rumbler was up maybe 3-4 times before he got nerfed. EVERY SINGLE TIME we fought trash to see if he was up.. Tried to kill him, then zoned out. Until the last time a week before he was nerfed we off tanked him. I put all that on my fucking nutts.

Re: No more *avoiding* The Segmented Rumbler
No need to say anything further...a busted encounter was finally changed three months into the expansion, GG SOE.
TBH I could give less of a fuck about how people handled this encounter, some people yelled it, some people ate timers, some people off-tanked it...the real fucked up thing is that a random spawn was a barrier to progression. People dealt with it however they saw fit. CL based our Rumbler policy off what the majority of members decided they would be most comfortable with.
I'm glad Sony finally got off their asses and fixed it.
