Like baggler said, the paragraph where it's stated ww1st and stuff wasn't part of the original interview. since it was moslty about wuoshi, the people in that guild and other stuff.

Re: Wow how big of a tool is Grimwell
It is quite sad that you guys really believe you have 1st'ed this mob. You actually do believe it.
The larger problem is the message sent throughout the raiding community by this situation. SOE must not truly understand the importance of a true WW1st and the effect on the 'community mental health' (okay, a little dramatic, but drama and raiding is like peanut butter and chocolate). If SOE is going to stand behind this article and leave it unchanged, it begs the next question:
"Are you going to let us know when content is ready to be WW1st'ed?"
A silly mistake like this could be the Archduke Ferdinand of a raiding exodus. Again, a bit dramatic, but if you blur the lines of what it is we are all striving for, we will lose interest. It is difficult enough for these folks to be the best, let alone ask them to read dev's minds so they can score an officially recognized WW1st.
The further proof of this is the fact the avatars are random spawn. This is an inherent flaw unto itself. They should all be up like any other contested mob, and stay up until dead. If the only people killing these things are raiders......why not give everyone a fair shot? Make them progressive if you need to, but the current implementation is unfair from go.
pssssst. Hey SOE. Sure, the top guilds are spread across different servers; but trust me, they are keeping score. That IS their game. Don't fight it, let them compete. On an even playfield.

Re: Wow how big of a tool is Grimwell
I vote for Disso on the WW 1st. I mean, weren't disso claiming SD had infos from the devs and couldn't be entitled to any WW 1st? Yes they were. Do they look like idiots now? Probably not, as everyone forgot how they flamed SD when they first killed it. But the truth is, they do. They were the first to say that Valor was gimp and that SD got inside infos and knew of the nerf before they even tried it, so killing it, according to disso, meant nothing.
And now, all of a sudden, killing the gimp version of Valor meant something. You guys should make up your mind. Or shut the fuck up.
The sad part is, it just required an IQ of 60 to understand that we only claimed a 1st WW on the fixed version, a version I doubt a lot of people that talks a lot on here even tried, a version that now several top raiding guilds still aren't able to kill and let depop, AND a version that was fixed and unkilled for about 3 straight weeks, how come no one killed it before? It didn't spawn on any other servers before it respawned on ours? Who are you kidding there.
You can't say the same for Tarinax who was killed on the first day after the fix. And who was first killed by NPU btw, not Disso, if we follow your logic. Unless you think killing a gimp version of a mob is any more legit than zoning without an access. No, both are not legit kills, sorry for the wake up call. Due to how Tarinax was fixed months later and the fact that many guilds were locked out for days, no one can claim for a real ww1st. Who ever got to kill Cruor first won anyway, who cares about Tarinax. And Valor is a whole different story.
Now it's true, and our own website even has an old news stating it, we were only third on the gimp version of Valor, but it doesn't take away the fact that we killed the fixed version first, and not the next day after the patch, but 3 weeks later, giving plenty of time for other guilds to have their chance. And just FYI, Valor was up on Nektulos and Najena the night we killed it.
And NO, none of us ever talked to Grimwell prior to this news. In fact, we only had a GM in the zone who watched our kill, and asked for screens so he could help making a news, and nothing else. We assumed there would only be a news about it on the french version of eq2players. Well, I guess we assumed wrong, and we thought it was pretty cool, but never asked for it. And thanks for the publicity people. You gave us more publicity than eq2players did actually.
My conclusion? If killing a gimp version of a mob is legit, then grats Second Dawn on the WW1st, if it's not legit, then grats my guild, Pandemonium.
I naturally go for the second choice, as only legit kills should count, but it doesn't mean I consider my guild better than SD or any other top raiding guild. It just means my guild has the WW1st for the legit kill on the Avatar of Valor. And no one can't argue against it. End of story.

Not gonna say anything, but raiding with a GM sounds fishy as hell.

Re: Wow how big of a tool is Grimwell
So it appears Grimwell loves the French considering hes the only SOE person I know of who has posted on a guilds boards saying to ignore the other people.
