Weren't you the folks saying "Ohhh we killed the avatar two weeks ago and didn't tell anyone..."
Granted I don't lurk your server forums here, but if you guys aren't jumping up and down about it, why do you care so much? Was the mob actually working like it is now at the time you guys killed it?
And honestly? What's the big deal anyways? If you guys WW1st something, contact Grimwell if you want it all over the EQ2 forums.

It's the premise behind it. According to you, Grimwell has already made a major mistake then, since he's already officially congratulated SD on killing Wuoshi, which is on the chopping block for a change. Which means, what does he do with his old article where he is congratulating SD on their kill? See, that's the problem, things change so fucking often in this game that a congratulation from an OFFICIAL source is something that should never be done.

No, not in the opinion of the handful of people posting here. There are a number of people in the raid community that I'm sure aren't basing his entire performance from this one event either.

I think you guys are missing the major point here and getting caught in the specifics.
How much public credit did raiders get before Grimwell got here? As someone who has been reading probably 99% of the EQ2 news that hits anywhere? I can tell you it was damn close to 0. Nada.
Raid content is this unspoken, misunderstood segment, that he is giving an insight into. You aren't a bunch of elitist, hardass, overdramatic cry babies, you are actual players like they are. I doubt 3/4 of the Community can even name 1/4 of the named raid mobs in ANY expansion.
At the time he did the SD article? Maybe Wuoshi changes weren't in the works. If a month down the road they change the avatar? I can admit I'm wrong.
Should none of you guys get credit on the Pumpkinhead because they nerfed it a few weeks ago?

Re: Wow how big of a tool is Grimwell
you folks need to seriously group up.
Even if he screwed up (which he may not have if the previous kills were on a broken mob and didnt count - i dont know) then it's still a great thing for there to be a shoutout to a guild on a great accomplishment.
It promotes raiding and is good for the community and the game.
Your reactions to this are childish at best and detrimental to raiding at worst.
Perhaps they should just say "Congratulations to guild X on killing mob Y" as opposed to "congatulations on doing it FIRST", but honestly, it's just semantics. It is a nice gesture from the community manager and all you folks are out shouting like he out to destroy the world because he didn't make a WW announcement that you PERSONALLY have the biggest c*ck.
Seriuosly. Say gratz and get over it. Try actually killing a mob and sending screenies rather than bitching that someone else did.

Re: Wow how big of a tool is Grimwell
I congradulate WW1sts, I did for SD who actually did. Why should I say congradulations to someone claiming a 1st on a mob that has died.

Re: Wow how big of a tool is Grimwell
It's not semanitcs, WW1st Are something that a lot of High End Raiders stride for and take pride in. How would you feel if you won an Olympic Gold Metal and the News said the Bronze medalist actually won it?
I know one of the things that GOT me into raiding in the very 1st place, when I was a casual noob was reading about Ardent Legion's Prismatic WW1st, and I still remember Ardent Legion as a guild to this day because of that WW1st, not because of any other reason.
To pass that accomplishment off to some guild that didn't deserve it is a sham imho.
I mean grats Pandemonium on AoV but please don't try and claim WW1st.

correction is one thing, this whole "Community manager actually the antichrist because he hates me" drama is not necessary. As you say, a similar announcement got you into raiding. That's the idea. How many people you think will get into raiding when they see that the so called raiders are the sorts of people that can't even keep their dick in their pants long enough to say gratz to each other.
The announcement is not for you. You know why it isn't? Because you already knew about this. Because YOU already went to SD's site and saw the pics. The announcement is for those not in the know. If there was a mistake, there is a much better and constructive ways to correct it.
I keep hearing about raiders wanting more focus on the raiding part of the game, well it isn't going to happen if their attutide will be to destoy and turn into drama every single attempt to do that. Drama does not help. Ever.
