I hope you guys aren't building too many expectations for raid gear though. Raid content has never been high on the list. The difference in your examples of other legendary gear, was that wasn't raid gear. That was gear everyone could feasibly get ahold of.
As for stuff being dropped comparable to raid gear? Ok seriously...I'll admit I'm not high end hardcore and still have a lot of gear to upgrade. I'm doing a lot of EoF raids these days but even *I* didn't see anything that just blew me away. Am I missing something?

The relic argument never became moot. It was and still is too easy to obtain that shit.
All things being equal, raid gear is supposed to be better than heroic gear. That is the expectation and that isn't ever going to go away.
The power regen of the Cold-Blooded Blade blows away the Godking weapon, thankfully it stopped short of the Wand of the Tempest. The damage-boosting Wand of Crystalized Plasma (misspelled, needs another L) is ranked among the most powerful offensive proc items and has the beauty of being completely mez-safe.

Re: unrest, final nail in coffin of progression?
Yeah I should point out while I want to see what this guy does for raid iteimzation, I dont want to wait 6 fucking months to see it. We saw what he does for heroic content so now its the raiders turn because seriously Im fucking bored with the little raid content we received in EoF.
Freethinekrs/clockwork/inner sanctum - 2-3 hours one night
EH - 6-7 hours one night
Clockwork/freethinkers - 1 hour one night
PHH/Avatar - 45min-1hour one night
Contested Mayong - Soon to be 1hour tops one night
Wow, EoF provided a whopping 13 hours of raid time a week at the long end of the time windows! Sweet, I cant even raid 2 hours a day. Not to mention as a raid guild we generally try and raid 3-4 hours on raid nights, so in reality we can be done with EoF raids in 3/4 days a week.
Seriously, give us more raid content. We paid for this expansion too you know.
EDIT - And before someone says it, IM FUCKING TIRED OF ALTS. I have 4 level 70's already, a level 66, and a level 54. Ive maxed tradeskill/transmuting on one and crafting just bores me. I have 100aa's on 3 of these characters and 2 more closing in on it. That screams there is not enough to be doing because seriously, im not making anymore fucking characters.

Re: unrest, final nail in coffin of progression?
"Resurfacing as a high-end, instanced zone for groups of experienced PCs in their 70s"
High-end...you know, comparable to other "high-end" instances like Halls of Fate (which has a tougher boss than unrest btw).
I guess high-end refers to the high end of the level range. (/boggle)
Legendary equipment is probably right, since having fabled will totally trivialize this instance... actually i bet it can be done by 3 skilled people in treasured.
But the real gem is "PCs in their 70s". Do they know something about the level cap that we don't?
P.S. Dear SOE, i have a marketing degree and work in a communications role for a major corporation, if you would like a copy of my resume to replace the retard that wrote this press release, please PM me.

70's does imply that the level cap is above 70, and also "70's" would be redundant with "high end" anyway.
These are all really nice people, and I wouldn't call them names. I'm just saying that it seems to me that the person who wrote this release probably writes PS2 and other completely unrelated title announcements also, and doesn't play this game or this wouldn't have been written. They should seriously get someone personally knowledgeable about a particular game to review an announcement before it is released. That's just basic to building and maintaining player confidence and the public image in the game and entire operation.
Thanks
