Must totally agree on this one. GOD I hated this place back in KoS. And the fact the brawlers just could solo around down there doing their gaymore was so fucking annoying ! :D

Good old FG before they nerfed it to easy mode, I died a shit ton in there also but it's a nostalgic zone for me so I don't hate it.

The worst zone in the game has to be the defiler's epic instance.

/nod, Nek Castle is one huge ragefest for me tbh. Also, fuck Ravenscale. Any zone where you can only finish it if you have a set amount of dps is retarded IMO, not to mention to shitty loot table. Not that I'm some "casual family guild" player, I just think the general idea is retarded. But Fens is also a nightmare, yes. I would also have to express my hatred towards Tomb of Thuuga in this thread. I'm sure everybody knows why...

Launch game>
Lavastorm: Even after all the revamps you had to run from docks to teleporter because invariably someone in your group didn't have it.

Edgewater Drains: Geometry sucks and having to deal with buggy aggro mobs and crap geometry to do an AQ keeps me from going there ever, even on 80 toons.

Rivervale; not because it's annoying but because it just feels like there's no point going. Possibly the most neglected zone in game from every perspective.

DoF: All the hole in the wall instances, especially Ancient Tables. Fuck you Ancient Tables you ultra-rare named, no loot having S.O.B. with confusing NPC's you aren't sure you should kill. Worst design ever for all the instances and none of them felt connected to the greater world at all. Massive disappointment after leveling in zones like Sol's Eye.

KoS: No Complaints. Floating island zone design was kinda gay but overall it was good.

EoF: GFay. To this day I avoid that zone as much as possible because the design makes me want to strangle people. This is followed closely by LP because a mob density comparable to a Japanese train at rush hour and every thing stunning, rooting and snaring you when all you want to do is get to the instance, Catacombs, MMC or...well anywhere makes you wonder who was on smack designing those zones and thought it was a good idea.

RoK:The whole thing. Normally I wouldn't fault a zone for bad content design but RoK... wow. Ultra massive zones with a quest usage that can't really be done efficiently without massive planing. The amount of times you have to fly across those zones to go back to stuff you killed 15 minutes ago just to be advanced to another quest that sends you right back to those same mobs is about the dumbest thing ever compounded by the sheer magnitude of the zones. As if that wasn't enough, they then expect you to do BS repeatable quests for faction that make little sense and can't be done quickly because they are spread out over a massive zone with lots of aggro.Of course the biggest bitch about it is that to this day quest grinding is still far and away the best advancement post 70 by miles; even if you wanted to skip the BS and mass kill, it takes so long as to not be worth it--which incidentally kills grouping from 70 until about 80. Now for the dungeons/instances:

Karnor's: Undercon and nowhere a fresh 70 should be. If you just got done with KoS/EoF content and go to Karnor's expecting a natural progression, expect rape. It's not the zone's fault but in the context of RoK someone should have known better and made it more gradual like SoS and PoA. It's good once you get a few levels but by then you're on the RoK fast track and with the abysmal benefits of leveling by grouping, why would you hit Karnor's?

CoA: Really? The next dungeon I get is all the way in KJ where I have to do quests just to be able to get there in the overworld without potentially being slaughtered? And you hide it , a 75+ dungeon, behind a 82^^^ who is brutal if you have less than 77 mastercrafted? And inside the zone you have a relatively steep progression with mobs where, if you are at the 75 mark when you go in, you're pretty much destined to wipe making the zone almost undoable until most of it is blue.

CoK: Hole in the wall guy from DoF must have done this. It's interesting at least but suffers from almost the exact same flaws as CoA.And being possible to screw up the named spawn with an odd script that isn't intuitive? Yeah...

Maiden's: Fuck you Bithl...whatever your name is giant devourer. I like the rest of the zone though.

Chelsith: Fuck you one shotting worm AE's, wandering poo globs and a pain in the ass clearing process if you aren't really well geared from zones that are more fun and...hey, has anyone seen an exquisite in this zone?

Only VoES and Veksar escape because the holes in the floor are still funny and Veksar was a nice combo of puzzle and kill.

TSO I haven't done much because I enjoy the 1-70 game far more than the 70-80 and getting alts to the point where it matters is like yanking my own teeth. Still, having done Ship Out and run through Moors on foot I'd like to send another fuck you out to that zone. It wouldn't be so bad if some of those balloon rides were straight shots or there were at least one or two gnomish teleporters.

I agree, Chelsith is complete and utter crap.

When you complete one of the quests for Ship Out, talk to the NPC and they'll teleport you to the next one.

I know. I did. You still had to fly back for a few parts to craft. I also just walked around it to figure out where stuff was. Pretty cool that the initial quest giver for Ship Out will teleport you down to Firmroot until you're done with the quest. Shame I didn't figure that out until my second run.
