Default guild raid progression web site

    All,

I would like to invite all guilds who are interested in displaying their guilds progression throughout the current content and in upcoming expansions to head on over to http://www.eq2trinitas.com/progression.php and register. This site was built and designed to allow for leaders/officers of guilds to register and maintain their own kill lists and lists accomplishments of their guild.

It's a fairly simply site to navigate and keep track of who has killed what and also can be used as an easy recruiting tool for those people looking for a raiding guild that are at some specific level of progression.

As we get more participation from more guilds, we'll be enhancing the site to make searching / filtering a bit easier so you can quickly and easily see which servers and guilds have beaten which content.

For now though, we welcome your participation and feedback to make the progression site a useful place for the raiding community.

    Thanks,
    Aandien - GL of Trinitas@Mistmoore

I have seen a ton of registrations come through on this so far. Anyone who has registered up until now is activated and can add their kills.

It would appear at least one bug has been found (go figure)

Once registered it will allow you to add any guild on any server, HOWEVER you can only edit and update kills for the guild you initally registered under.

Someone added Vanquish on The Bazzar today, you have no user entry.. Get in contact with me via PM here or at jzakhar at gmail dot com.

Anyway, we have a bunch of patches lined up for this weekend to lose the few outstanding bugs.

    /cheers, one very tired coder.

Good idea, think it will be better if you have each server on a tab + a worldwide tab.

I only had a quick 4 days to whip this up before someone up and made a post making this live ;p

I moved the files to a testing folder so im not updating things as its used in real time. But I agree, I decided to use php's smarty template engine to handle some of this (I was tired of static print statements and case 'yetanotherfuckingzone')

But yeah display by server ( be it a tab or a dropdown box) is coming, its on the enhancment list in trac LOL. And there are a few others as well. This is still only a 2 person project so its not as fast as im sure some would like it.

Ok as of today I have activated accounts for:

    Campaign of Light
    Dark Descendant
    Defiance
    Eqlipse
    Essence of Evil
    Feral Fires
    First Prophecy
    Five Rings
    Ghosts of the Jaggedpine
    Himalaya
    Immortal Fellowship
    Insurgence
    Lords of the Triple Moons
    Merciless
    Might of Mistmoore Alliance
    MMGA Alliance
    Onyx
    Paragon
    Phantom Knights
    Redemption
    Rezonance
    Shattered Moon
    Stasis
    The Collective
    Trinitas
    Vendetta

the users that added those guilds are free to stop by and update. all should be activated for you all.

When you register, you are asked for a guild name (required). This is the name you will be allowed to update once approved. The input box is gone, so you can no longer add a guild you did not register with.

I added some minor front page stats, as well as a shout box in case ppl have something to say when they stop by. It's all on an entry page since clockwork menace didn't seem approporate to start on.

I've tested the form submission in IE and firefox, all seems well. IE throws a null javascript error on a few pages, but that is related to the drop down menus. The error is gone when a menu is instanced so its more informational then anything.

I added a basic sort by server drop down, in the future this might be redone differently but right now it works pretty well. You only need to set it once for the session and it will be remembered between pages.

We started a guild roll up page as well. If you click on a guild name you see the fucked up tables ;p We are going to finish that sometime this week, but its current broken state was not enough of a blocker to stop the patch today which fixed a lot of annoying bugs.

I've yet to see a world wide progression list for EQ2, I know other games have them. If enough people find this useful and continue to use it, one of the things we will add is guild logos, and possibly recruitment needs to the roll up pages for guilds. The possibilities are endless, and none of the coders (myself and Bala) mind doing it, if its actually going to get used.

Anyway, if you have a server or world wide first, drop us a note either here in this thread, to me or Bala via PM here, in the shouter on the page, or post in the forum on our site and we will get your kill colored properly.

    /cheers Jalla

Added in Campaign of Lights kills, though we are just now taking our first baby steps into EOF raids.

I saw you adding via the log ;p

However, and you are not the first (Phov!!), add your guild before adding kills hon.

We let the user add their guild after registration was approved (so someone cant snipe a guild name and cause us problems). Because of that, its not auto added on registration. You have to click [Add a Guild] and chose your server. Then you can begin updating kills..

Sorry this was not as clear (you are not the first). I am gonna patch it tonight to require guild to be added before the link for add a kill shows up.

But way to find an unintended feature guys!

I see, I'll get right back on that.
