What do we know?
-The Bloodskull Orcs are Involved. The have "negotiators" near the Solusek Ro encampment.
-The Followers of Solusek Ro are involved. They seek a shrine in the Darklighter woods.
-Freeport's Arcane Society is in turmoil as the Foci commited some "crime" and the Militia has taken control.
-The freeport militia also guards the dig site that supposedly leads to the Darklighter woods.
-The Thexians Seek to open some kind of portal(As there are "A Thexian GateCaller" NPCs) in the Thexian Dragoon camp in Nektulos Forest.

Questions?
-Why are the orcs involved?
-What does the Overlord want with the Darklighter woods?
-Why is this shrine important to the followers of Solusek Ro?
-What did Foci Darkbrair do?
-Is this really going to lead into a new starting city? Are we speculating this to early without really evidence to back it up?
-What was the Darklighter woods in EQ1? What kind of creatures inhabited the area and what lore surrounded in the times of EQ1?
-Are the Thexians in Nektulos/Commonlands incontact with those in the Lesser Faydark?
-Are the Thexians really trying to establish a portal to Neriak?
-Why would the Thexians need such time and energy to create a portal to just Neriak?
-Is it a tunneling spell instead?
-Is it really a portal to the Realm of Hate?

h'mm as a posted earlier, the map in the ree caves is the same as the one in the engineers tent - i thought this to be a generic map, but probably not the case keeping in mind they are already involved in SOD questline.

no idea if there is gonna be a new starting city, but there seems a very high probablity this "new zone" is going to form, at least in part, a stage of the sword of destiny questline.

If you are talking about the Bloodskull negotiators that spawn at night, then they are part of one of the CL timeline quests. Meeting Interuppted. iirc you are just there to break up a meeting between the dervishes and them.
