if the time spent is too much for you then evidently you didn't want it bad enough. now I know it could have to do with real life commitments, but it is ultimately soe's fault for putting the kind of gear on the mob that it has.

Whatever, I like the hollow hedge and I like the horseman and his gear. I say Kudos to SOE and to whoever designed it all. From what I can see, anyone who wants the loot bad enough to camp it has already gotten what they want. So no QQing will be allowed about 'not getting a shot at it'.

Obtaining a new item to spawn him every 10 min for a named that spawns every 6 hours is a bit silly.

It should of been a 1 time reward for players level 75+. Guilds would still be able to farm him if they wanted. it would just be alot harder

I prefer how wow is doing their headless horseman seasonal event. Once per day you can get a "daily" quest for a candle that spawns him. He is actually within a lvl 35-40ish zone you run past gray mobs to get to the place to spawn him.

Eq2 equiv would be you get a group you zone into nek castle and the front courtyard of the castle everyone gets the daily summon quest then the group spawns him 6 times. Then you can't do it again until the next day. The one in wow dropped some decent stuff (think woe quality stuff) took me about 5 runs to get the rogue ring I wanted + the flying broomstick mount.

Maybe they would need to tune down the items a bit if they did it this way but I think it is a better way of doing it. By putting it inside a lowbie instance there is no overland issues from lag or people crowding around trying to gank it.

Ya sorry I thought Nov 1st. Still, I think the best idea yet which has been posted is to keep the mob around, but the hedgemaze closes. Eventually guilds lose their stranglehold on this mob as they run out of necklaces. Eventually everyone gets a go.

yeah, then at some point you have a mob in game that can't be killed, because no one will have an item to kill him.

They should have made the tree, where he spawns a zone. Give him his own instance, with a 3 day lockout or something. Throw a couple more mobs in there, kinda of a mini raid.

Jopi, that I can agree with. I think that would have made everyone happy.
