I started a new Illy last night and at lvl 10, I switched the slider for combat exp to go fully toward AA and found that I gained 7 AA in less then an hour dual boxing with my zerker mentored down.

With the changes to combat->AA conversion rate, is it worth just grinding yellow/orange heroics to get AA?

I know there will be marginal returns once you get to a certain number, but can people share what they have found, and how long can one do this to build AA.

Doing quests while grinding with the slider set to 100% is the way to go. With the slider, you really don't have to worry about picking up all of the quests and clearing each named in every zone, but it definitely helps.

There's nothing stopping you from grinding out all 200 AA on mobs, but it'll be boring as fuck.

I had to bite the bullet and do all the Kunark and Moors quests. It's a bitch but it's 10% per quest most of the way.

When we had to yes but not now. Quests are ridiculous to do to gain exp and aa when you can mentor / slidebar. Only pick up quests if they are in line with where you are grinding or is necessary for a piece of gear.

Started a lowbie Inq because didn't like that I got to 80 on Illy and only had 108 aa's using the slidebar thing. It was great to start but at about 50+ aa's it did seem to slow down. I've coupled it with about 25% reg exp to level until the 5 year 100% vitality clickie comes up and then switch down to a bit more reg exp. Been doing mostly zones and killing named. Wondering myself if I can expect further slow downs in the AA's with the slidebar thing?

Yes... AA's are like leveling.. each aa increases the amount of exp needed.

This idea of locking at 10-15 and getting AAs sounds like a really good idea (which will eventually be patched ).

Got a 79 Dirge I started 3 months ago, been doing nothing but quests, and still only 135 AAs. FML
