    Default The Vigilant - Incursion

    Ok, i'm beating my head on the wall trying to figure out what I am missing here on Zonn Kogir. Twice we've managed to get him down to around 25% but at that point people have died so much and power is down, he finally wins. It seems that the key is moving him around and not sitting still since he emotes messages about being slow and waiting to die. Is that pretty much the way the fight works? Just move him around and eventually you win? That Blurring Blades effect is pretty much a one shot for anyone who is not a tank.

    Mob defeated on the second go around. Its still a little messy, but moving him around does seem to do the trick. He is still going to try and port to people, but if they are moving around, he should run right back to the tank.

    We tried this zone last night. This is just a tough zone. Our group has done all the vasty deeps, all the hole instances, pretty sure we can clear erudin palace but haven't tried yet... Our gear is not that great and we need more AAs. But this zone is challenging to say the least.

    We really struggled with it until we noticed the trauma is what does a lot of one shots. It seems to be a four parter: stun for a time, then a massive dd, mana drain and knockback. Not sure how you'd do this without two curers - it can't be pot cured.

    The last name is where we got stuck. Near the front windows of the airship seems like a good place to tank - upstairs, the knockbacks would send healers down to the first floor and if we all stacked on tank, the frontal was too rough. We're stuck though, when he gets down to 10 or 5% health, the adds start to rush. One weird thing about this zone is all the names seem mezzable, but even when mezzed, names and trash are able to cast some stuff. Also, seems like the bug from the x2 carried over - failing on this guy can proc an AE crash to desktop.

    Any hints? We were at about 25k dps zonewide, perhaps we just didn't bring enough to this guy. Cloth wearers seemed to be particularly susceptible to one shots by him.

    you use a templar who is most likely able to cure himself of the trauma .p btw this trauma occurs in all vigilant zones and even in the x2

    and incursion is certainly easier than erudin palace.

    We normally take a healer, then a high dps fury into these zones just to make it easier. Having 2 healers is a nice help when one of them gets the trauma. And these days Furys do good dps, so you arnt really wasting a spot on a second healer.

    More DPS would help, 25k ZW is what an assasin can do alone in SF :P

    All 3 of the Vigilant Heroic zones are relatively simple.

    A dirge would help tons if you have a solo healer.

    If you can't clear the Vigilant zones, seriously don't bother with Erudin Palace, you won't even get past the 2nd named, just saying so you don't go in and pull your hair out.

    We cleared the zone with the following group makeup, and this was before everyone was 90.

    Shadoknight
    Inquisitor
    Defiler
    Dirge
    Assasin
    Coercer

    The hardest fight in the whole zone is the one I started this thread over. Everything before and after him was mostly turn and burn. The last named is all about where you position him. The biggest pain in the ass with this zone is the trash and the way they are linked but not grouped so your green taunt doesn't work. You have to make sure to use your AE taunts and be ready to snag the second trash mob in each group since they like going after your healer every time. I'm not sure whats up really with making ungrouped mobs linked... just seems to go against the structure of the game. It can be dealt with as long as you are ready for it, but it can be a PITA since they like resisting taunts in these zones.


    ...and yes, Palace is much harder. Nothing like getting gangbanged by goats.
