Default Raid expansion pack, and would you buy one ?

As the topic says, who would buy a raid expansion pack ? i know i would.

But would it be feasible ? how many people do you think raid on each server ?

hehe or on the same note, a soloer's expansion full of solo dungeons :P

Yes! (if it is well designed and has about the same amount of content like KoS/EoF)

I think most people here would buy it in a heartbeat.

But I think it would be a mistake dollar wise. "Hardcore" players will buy casual content because they're hardcore, casual players won't buy hardcore (raid) content because they're casual.

They're better off trying to appease both crowds at the same time.

I would buy it even if I play rather casual this days.

but for it to work there had to be altlist two types of raids zone, some that tock hours to finished for hardcore and some esayer whit 3-4 names that could be completed in 1-2 hours time period. this world altlist make it abit interesting to does that just raid sometimes.

A raid expansion pack would own. I see it working like this:

Solo Areas: Will only exist as access routes between zones/instances. Drops similar to heroic areas but on a horrid drop rate.

Heroic Areas: Very difficult single group but can be done with group x2. Original Nizara difficulty. Drops base level new resist gear. (cause resists won't worthless to most anymore), drops adept spells, crafting components, etc

Grp x2 Zones: Standard grp x2 stuff, these zones would be the start of legendary drops, basic master spells etc, specialty crafting components for items that will aid in more difficult raids.

Grp x3 Zones: Content for those guilds that seek harder challenges. Drops will include the rare legendary pieces, mid range master spells, more of the specialty crafting components, etc...

Grp x4 Standard: x4 content for guilds newer to raiding, shares loot tables with grp x3 but will have higher rate of dropping the x3 more rarer items.

Grp x4 Medium: Equivalent to todays IS, FTH, CMF, etc.. Fun new challenging content to most. Drops include the better fabled standard, mid-range to some of the better quality master spells.

Grp x4 Difficult: Catered to end-game gamers. End game of the quest line that required getting through all of the above but providing unique challenges and lore. Drops include more of the rare fabled items, etc..

Grp x4 Epic scale: The end-game of end-game zones. Progression level raid zone that requires some sort of unlocking mechanism to advance through. More puzzle oriented raher then endless trash clearing. Use imaginations here for sure. Will allow for server resets and guilds to progress to the next session without having to start completely over but once the item is consumed you must complete that section to advance further. Early sections will cater to newer guilds but each section becomes far more advanced. \

Add-on Live event: Vast expanse of commonlands size raid area requiring at least 4 raid guilds to work together to clear/win back setting the staging point for the next new expansion. Some various guilds heavily laden with crafters to build outposts and staging areas to advance attacks etc. Of course the main limitation here would be can any server handle this.

Extras:

Expansion should include guild halls. Within these guild halls will be tutorial/raid building sections, crafting centers, etc. It's an expansion that will cater to high end guilds but at the same time teach the casuals how to raid, set roster limits, etc. Currently there is a huge false impression that "hardcore" means more time when in many cases all it means as that these players are focused on progression and experiencing all content available.

Just my 2 cents.

i think adventure packs have worked fine in the past. splitpaw introduced brutal acts which was a regular fun farm for most raid guilds (and was actually difficult), and fallen dynasty introduced a difficult raid and a difficult contested(!) as well. it has been almost a year since the last adventure pack so i'm not sure if they completely abandoned the system or what.

I don't like the concept of having to do a x2 to get into a x4. :/

I'd buy a raid expansion pack, and so would everyone I know in game.
