Im not joking, that zone is a complete, 100% rip off of WoW newbie zones. I actually felt like I was playing WoW while I ran an Arasai around. Everything from the small segmented area's, the hold your hands quests for dummies with auto spawn named mobs that dont deserve a name, right down to the periodically spaced encampments with the cave or tower for that area, it was a complete rip off of World of Warcraft.

Go roll a character in WoW and come back and tell me Im wrong, seriously.

Hell even the I got to level 20, did every quest in the zone and conjoining city zone and used up the entire updates content in under 3 hours felt like WoW. Too much work for something so easily played through.

Were you around for Queen's Colony, starting island? That's what this reminded me of and not once did I think WoW.

Ive been playing this game since beta, yes I was around. Queen's Colony originally had some things that werent just pushovers and then the actual game up to 20 got to be semi challenging with everything being heroic.

This entire new zone was taken directly out of WoW. Doesnt matter too much because its just one zone, but I would be kind of pissed off if the new high level stuff was the same way with RoK.

They did a nice job on the zone design; it's a nice change of pace from the dogshit brown bag of bland that SOE normally pinches out.

I never said anything about the graphics or artwork, i actually do like that part, just thought for a noobie zone it was too easy (yes for a noob zone) BTW i dont think you could look anymore unintelligent by saying fuck five times. gratz!

The first impression of a game is what holds a character. In that sense i think DLW should be rather easy especially for true noobs. Then when the new character is finally hooked he zones into nektulos forest, the avatar of hate should go agro the lvl 15 noob and say "welcome to eq2 bitch".

I played Diablo 2 for long hours only for the multiplayer aspect and sound and graphics. It severely lacked sophistication and I hated that.

Blizzard caters to retards, and god damn if there aren't a lot of retards. But eventually in business you have to make a choice, do you purely chase the buck or do you strike a balance in producing something you feel good about?

Yeah Ish, Handholding sucks but this is for newbs, you need it to be ezmode cause 99% if they get frustrated in the 1st 10mins will log off and never log on again.
