personally i'm just sad they dont release raid zones like dmp, where you can have a lot of fun with script and being hella hard for the tier !

As long as the individual encounters retain the same difficulty I don't see a problem with being able to dispense with some of the really unnecessary trash that turns the zone into an endurance exercise rather than a true challenge.

If people get off on grinding the same trash over and again on F2 nd F3 then good luck to you. I would rather finish the zone faster and do something more productive with my time. Difficulty, not ability to eat timesinks should differentiate mobs, zones and guilds when it comes to instanced content.

Besides, some guilds will have difficulty beating those trash clearing events even if others don't so there's still some form of block to lower geared / ability guilds.

I would LOVE a new DMP. One of my favorite raids of all time.

this is kinda debatable b/c the people who have the mental focus and endurance to stay at max dps for long amounts of time could get through EH in a good amount of time. If you cant and b/c of that it takes your guild longer to the point you cant do it, well then its your fault. Do i like trash? No. Does it add difficulty? Yes.

As old as they are, I also thought the Splitpaw raids were fun. Acts of War and something else, if I recall. DMP is also a good one.

Bleh the 2 arent even comparable.

EH still can be a long as zone with the challenges. Last run we had every named up but Sarik and Sawtooth the fucking gimp mobs which means extra clearing that sometimes you get to skip.

More people are getting to Wuoshi because thats how progression works. Guilds get better gear from the other zones and improve therefore allowing them to progress in EH. The AE nerf on f1 and f2 mobs also helped their cause.

The fact is though 90% of the raiding population won't get their Soulfire's because they will need to get wolfsbanes in order to kill Mayong and thats fine by me thats the way it should be. So I'm hoping instead of nerfing wuoshi like Tarinax, SOE just makes people wait until the next teir to get their epic weapon if they cant get it now.

As you say, it's debatable. I don't believe that killing identical mobs over and again increases difficulty per se. In terms of raw difficulty, kill one you can kill em all. As as long as the servers stay up you can camp the zone for a few days to get the completion, so the ability to stay at max dps for long periods of time becomes a moot point. High trash numbers just force all guilds to stay in there longer than they have to - high dps guilds an hour or two, lower dps and evening or two. It would be different if no camping were allowed or the zone was time limited.

The zone offers a decent level of challenge for the T2 guilds and below without forcing them to kill bundles of weak trash. There are plenty of guilds completing the zone now, I don't see as problem with removing some of the more irritating timesinks.

What I definately do not advocate is decreasing the difficulty of any of the named in there. It's a crying shame what they have done to Tari and Chellyflaps.

the game was made easier. the AE nerf you are refering to was a global ae nerf and affected every aspect of the game. 1 day stuff could kill you, the next day it couldnt.

Which was your favorite, DMP in T6 or DMP in T7?

An enchanter epic weapon without subjugation is like a Buckeyes T-shirt without the colors scarlet and gray.

i think the encounter was an overall disaster and thats why i hate encounters with such specific scripting...how long was the encounter broken? but the answer to the question is T7.
