Oh joy, raise the stat curve, great did you forget about every other curve in this game besides the stat curve? So how exactly can you do the mitigation curve very well anyway? Right now at Level 70 it's just not possible with the fucked up gear from KoS. And avoidance curve, what are you going to do with that? You just are so far to the max you can't do anything.

You can't advance in counterstrike outside of a singluar game. There is no advancement that makes you really more powerful than other players either.

Are you telling me you do all of KoS raid content in Second Dawn? Because I heard you don't do any of it, except on alts. Which means it's already fucking useless to you and when RoK comes out even without a level increase you would be DONE with EoF, and would only ever do it on alts.

Here's why you can't use EQ1 as a place to look at, the game was not meant to go beyond Level 50. Expansions were not thought about, everything done in that game was a completely hack. Raiding was also a complete hack. Everything in the damn game was a hack. Nothing was planned, everything was a hack on top of a hack, there were so many things completely broken in that game.

You start yapping about how Conjurors are half-assed Wizards, when in reality they aren't. You talk a lot of shit about things you don't even know. So maybe you shouldn't try to do that and things won't be as retarded.

Illuminator, show me one post where I pretend to be well liked. You cant. I am the first person to say how much of an asshole I am and people know it. I think this was just your anger talking stemming from my comment about your low dps. Sorry the truth hurts. It must have been nice to be able to live off reputation this long though huh?

You couldnt even get that much correct. Let me make this simple for you. Your idea's are horrible, they would stall this game forever to the point where we might as well regress back to level 50 because we would be fucking god's compared to anything that would be level 70.

As for having to level up to gain access to the new content, how do you know that? They flat out said the content will be for 1-20 and then mostly 65-80. You are level 70, you already have the ability to do anything up to level 75 content and do if you are a member of SD, so your pathetic excuse doesnt cut it.

This was pretty good until you blamed it on your dps comment. Im sorry, but unless this comment was the god of all dps comments, I don't see it enraging anyone; much less to the point of making shit up.

As opposed to being level 80 where compared to level 70s we would be... oh wait right. Gods.

They said something similar for EoF, I believe, like 55-70 (gasp -10 levels). Obviously most of the raids and tons of other content were for people higher level than 60. Aside from this... these points about him not "having to level up past 70" are retarded. You can't just repeat bullshit over and over again and expect to make it suddenly turn logical.

All things aside, without more tiers added it is my opinion that Eq2 would be pretty screwed. The reason it sort of worked in Eq1 was the massive AAs and raid progressions. Without more levels, there has to be some other way to improve your character or a lot of people wouldn't bother. And without trivializing gear (via the addition of levels), then Eq2 would be hard pressed to have a progression system that was rewarding and had any semblence of balance.

In other words; since its damn near impossible for them to create a good system for item based progression now, because you already have powerful gear (and because they suckass at items), they need to remove your gear, and have you start from close to 0. Trying to do it without a t8 would be too hard for them and theyd prolly just fuck up the game.

Besides which, if they don't add new tiers, and they did add item and/or other progression, it'd be just like Eq1, and I shudder to imagine the stream of 'witty' comparisons between the two.

So while I agree that it is a bitch that are adding a t8, I can't really find any other way that wouldn't result in the hastened collapse of the game. Having even one group (raiders/max levels) get horribly bored or pissed and leave doesn't encourage new players to spend a lot of effort in their characters only to end up as bitter as them.

EoF pulled off the no new tier about as well as could be done. But the item system just can't support another (yes, they could amend it or make a new one, but this is never a pleasant experiance for them). Maybe next expansion won't have a new tier. And in this manner, theres some sort of compromise. Oh well.

Its nto about being bored, its about having nowhere to progress at all. Where is the casual gamer going to go at 70? They are so powerful now that normal heroic mobs fall as they see them coming.

Take a full group of non raiders who regularily farm named in Castle Mistmoore and tell them to go into palace of the awakening. See if they have any trouble pulling even as many as 8 encounters or more at a time. They are simply so powerful that any new heroic content would make old ones obsolete anyways so we might as well progress forward and get some some spells and shit along the way.

Raise every diminishing returns curve whose returns have diminished way too soon to have been of any use. "Stat curve" was used as a term to refer to them collectively.
