Not to mention failure to first pull, and the time it takes to regroup and prepare for the next pull while another guild makes an attempt.

The only part of your comments that made sense was the last part.

The only thing you need to give up is time. That is all that separates the guilds who kill contesteds from the ones who dont. Time.

Time spent getting gear.

Time spent learning the strat

Time spent raiding together as a team of 24

Time spent waiting for the spawn.

Time, Time, Time, Time. Raiding anything in EQ2 is about time and knowing the strat. The strat comes with time, so does gear, so does cohesion as a unit.

This whole attitude you seem to have that you get the contesteds because your better than other guilds is laughable. You get contesteds because you invest the time into it. Time is a luxury alot of players dont have.

Personally i think contesteds and raiding in general should be about more than who can ignore real life the most.

wouldnt one assume that the better the players the less time is needed to do what you say?

Everytime a thread on contested pops up some douche bag always brings RL into it. Grats on Being that Douche Bag.

For the record, when I was in Second Dawn 99% of players had full time day jobs (Including myself) lots had family, sports and other social obligations. So stop QQing about it and just go do it.

You just fucking suck is all.

what i hate about contested is in eq2 is peopel act like its some big fucking deal. Like given a chance most guilds who cn clear all the instances can't kill them. WRONG.

In eq1 everything was contested and people knew alot of guilds could kill them. So while we wanted to get the loot from them it wasn't because we thought we were special. It was because we got it first. But that still didn't make your guild good. What made your guild good was clearing content that others could not. You know like actual skill not time. This is also a by product of the eq2 system that alot of content is relatively easy and majority of classes require little to no skill. But shit the way people act here they act like they are not easily replaced or something special. It makes me laugh everytime some tard come shere and proclaims how great they are when in reality most smucks are just as good given the same gear and setups. Let me clarify this again most people are just as good. There are a few retarded players out there.

I just hope that they don't put any contested into their "mega" zones. Looping is already bad enough, but their new zones they are coming up with, being quoted as 5 times bigger than Antonica. I just don't see this as working out.

They will and they should and they should work properly. Maybe they will produce some form of seamless chunking type load for these zones.
