They are introducing 3 more avatars, correct? And I'm assuming that they'll be level 85. I'm still not sure how they'll do the lore with that. Maybe I'm just being unimaginative, but what is so special about these 3 avatars? Why are they going to be 10 levels higher? And why, at level 80, am I traveling to my god's avatar to get buffs when it's 5 levels below me? Yes, I know, this isn't what most of you do anyway but it is part of the game.
I just think it would be cool and give more content to increase the levels of the existing avatars, revamping their loot tables of course. As long as they still add in the number of contested that they usually do with an expansion, it should be plenty even with the avatar spawn requirements.
I do understand though that increasing their levels would leave t7 contested lacking. But are there really that many people raiding the previous tier's content? Maybe there's more that I'm missing, and it's not as if SOE will actually do it but leaving them at their current level just doesn't make sense to me. I'm sure I'm about to get enlightened lol.

EDIT: I would love life if for t8 they revamped all the contested in game to be level 85 ;p. But that is wishful thinking from hell!

Pretty sure these mobs are on a pretty short spawn/despawn timer. Remember seeing Grimmfeather despawn after doing a couple of rounds around the griffon field...

I just thought it might be interesting if they did overhaul these mobs... remake the encounters, so scratch your old t5 strats.
Meh...noone is killing them anyways, and unused content is ftl.

I wouldn't change the strats, that'd be too much work. Just scale them up, put an ordinary legendary piece or two on them, and wha-la.

I did coldtooth when I was a nub in T4, and its the single mob that got me addicted to raiding. It was hard for it's time at the appropriate level.

You know, like every other sport out there in the world -- fair and equitable rules that put everyone on equal playing field....not some stupid spawn timer shit that is only contested *IF* you are agreeable to waking up at some random time on any given day (or log in from work or whatever).
It's a dumb system that actually does not provide any contest whatsoever. Why do you think all the uber guilds have contested locked up on their server? You think its cause there are only 10 guilds (or however many servers there are) that are capable of killing this shit? Of course not! There are probably hundreds of guilds that *COULD* kill the vast majority of the contested...but yet very few do....why is that exactly? It's because the contest has absolutely nothing, let me emphasis this, NOTHING, to do with skill at all. It's a contest of who has more free time...that is all.
That's lame...and that is what needs to be changed.

um yeah, you dont have to wait for the defense to line up before u start play in the nfl.
the timer for contetested starts at launch and never ends...
yes i believe otehr guilds could kill contested mobs but why dont they? they arent as good as the people that are killing them thus losing the contest. a contested mob isnt about who can kill them its about who does kill them.
