Lag is universal everywhere. Everyone has it worst on their server.

And it was 1 minute lag from Gardener everywhere, 2-5 seconds of lag after the lag went away.

It's sad when the most difficult part of an encounter is unintended lag.

Btw ... War is a fun fight. Only good part of Valor is the audience ... what can I say ... it's the exhibitionist in me. Can't comment on Fear ... only one left ... if we can get it to spawn.

there are people that played on german AND english servers. they know what´s going on.
you don´t.

even soe declared that on not english servers the amount of information is twice es big as on english servers. so we have lags with 30 gamers in zone like you have with 60 or more. you can wait till the zone is empty, we can´t, because we need ourselfs to kill it.

We must be really good on the french server then.

I can't say how laggy it is on the german server but here on Storms it's almost always laggy, enough to cut our parses on some fight, enough for me, as an illusionist, to often lose all my perpetuity buffs, and it's still not preventing us from killing everything and farming EoF for 2 months now. It makes it a bit harder sometimes when a mob is scripted since scripts are not slowed by the lag, but it's still definitely doable, which makes me think our lag is not much worse than on the US servers, maybe a bit laggier because of the live translations, but not that much.

So I don't know, maybe your server is even worse than ours, but that wouldn't be because of the translation.

It's the translation system that causes massive lags. Maybe they don't use a live babelfish program on Storms.

Is it translating player messages or game text, or what? Sebilis didn't have anywhere near that type of lag, so I'm guessing whatever it is was deployed on a case by case basis.

Everything is kinda translated word by word on the German servers. Especially the mob names. Even the names of vamps in MMCastle are translated but they remain the same as the English names. Doesn't make sense and causes horrible lag.

Best example of lag on Valor is when playing in Loping Planes where you have 5 mobs on one single square meter. It's totally lag free when there are not more then 3 (three) ppl in the zone. When a 4th player joins it begins to lag. Even casuals that don't raid (like we do with PHH) discribe these lags in threads in the German forums when it lags with only <10 ppl in zone...

If anyone from SOE reads this shit: Fix the damn German servers. We gave you all the information you needed. Now it's time to fucking do something. Thx.

Oh yeah, I remember a lot of people asking for the english names of mobs on the forums because /target didn't work with the translated ones. :/

Yeah that's a special feature. We have to use english names for /target-mactos and the translations are superdumb sometimes. Did you know there are 30 different meanings of 'greater' in German? So the real fun stuff is to get the English names like a greater sonic bat and stuff like that.....Funny thing too is that all of AoW's adds are called the same in German and have different names in English......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
